I regard Kidd to be the best PG in the league... And look what Francis did to him last night! 26 points, 7 boards, 8 assists, and 3 steals Kidd- 5 for 15, 15 points, 3 boards, 9 assits, 2 steals... Usually, offense is no problem for Franchise, it's usually his D that lets him down... But I'll take 5 for 15 anyday! Last year, Francis averaged like 27 points against Kidd last year... And Kidd is one of the best on the ball defenders... ------------------
I was dissappointed to see that Kidd only ended up with 4 TOs. It seemed as though 14 Turnovers would get much more than that, since in the first half, which was all I got to listen to, it seemed like he had like 5 or 6. While I will admit that Steve does seem to play EXTREMELY well against Kidd, it does not make him a better point guard, IMHO. I'm going to wait until he outplays all the point guards on a fairly consistent basis. ------------------ Jazzkiller

"does 1 Game=Owned?" Nope, but it is not just one game. Francis made it a practice of destroying Jason Kidd last yr. He just carried it over into this season. It has gotten to the point where the Suns have decided to put Marion on Francis when he isolates b/c Kidd just cannot control him off the dribble. I wouldnt say that Francis is the best PG in basketball yet, but I feel that within 2 yrs, he will be regarded as such. Also, there was a thread I remember last yr proclaiming that Francis really isnt 6-3 and is more like 6-0. I got to see Francis and Kidd stand next to each other at the game and they looked basically the same height, Kidd possibily being marginally taller.
