Fresh off his career-high-tying 36-point game in Thursday's 99-97 win over Detroit, Rockets guard Steve Francis missed Friday's practice, but not because of his foot. Instead, Francis visited the dentist and was excused from the workout. Even though he wasn't on the floor practicing, Francis' performance Thursday, which came in his first start since Nov. 25, was fresh on the mind of coach Rudy Tomjanovich. "He's just amazing," he said. "I think the guy is one of the best players in the league and he's going to have (big) games, but under those kinds of conditions. ... It makes me think about Dream (Hakeem Olajuwon) when I was an assistant coach to watch these great guys and they awe you. He does that." http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkn/1198995
He's getting his grill fixed so when he is holding up that M.V.P. trophy all-star weekend he'll be looking so sweet. Steve w/ or with out teeth you are the man.
Maybe a strain on his teeth is giving him headaches. That happened to me when I was 14. I had a crossbite. I sure hope Stevie doesn't come to the game tonight with Quincy Carter's smile.
