    Francis: God knows how long I have to play for him

    I was just watching the news and steve said that. He also said something like the coach wants me to play one way and i play another way. I think he wants to be traded.

    I've long been a supporter of Francis, but his behavior this year has been pretty disappointing. The team can only win if he plays the game Coach Van Gundy wants to play. His selfishness is only damaging the team -- and his reputation.

    What's wrong with him telling him like it is? Why should he say it behind closed doors, people obviously aren't getting the message. Oh wait, Francis said it, not Van Gundy? Errr....PUNK!

    I agree! I was looking forward to the Lakers drama.. but it backfired on me :( I hope everything works out between them two in order for the Rockets to prosper

    As far as I'm concerned, he did absolutely nothing wrong morally or legally by saying that. I just hope all those SOFs bashing coach for mouthing off to the media finally shut the hell up.

    If that's what he said(I'm talking direct quote or very close), I withdraw any previous defense of him. That's one of the worst possible things he could have said.

    I just watched the interview on Fox news and Francis said something like, "He's gonna coach the way he wanna coach and I'm gonna play the way I wanna play". Van Gundy responded by telling the media "I don't know about him playing the way he wanna plays". Guys I think Francis has gotten what he wants "max contract" and now he's trying to get the hell out of dodge to an east coast team, preferably Washington.

    WB news gets repeated at 2 AM. I'm not sure these other channels may have gotten that quote. I'm setting up the VCR.
