    Since when are the Clippers battling for a playoff spot. Last I checked they were something like 11 games under .500
    Does this writere even follow basketball??

    leave the clips fans alone. 31 years w/o a winning season, they could be as pissed off as they want to be. all they have left is hope.

    hey guys....i emailed this to Mr. Monroe just recently and i'm hoping to get a reply. either way...don't you just hate idiots?

    My email to him:

    Ok ok...so the Clips have a bright future ahead of them for once. But are you kidding me? A playoff contender...this year? Please tell me I misunderstood you and you were talking about upcoming seasons and surely NOT this season (being 16 games back with 19 games left or so does not make them a playoff contender). I guess call me bias (for being a Rockets fan) but since when is the young Rockets future a "Bad Dream?" Other than Hakeem's future departure from the team, you do realize that Houston features one of the best young backcourt in Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley right? So with the possibility acquiring a big time free agent at the end of this year (ahem...Mr. Webber), how exactly is Houston's team future bleak? And granted the Clips did beat the Rockets earlier this year and the Blazers (recently) they are vastly improving as a team. But I think you're giving the Clips way too much credit (at least for this year anyways) as a playoff contender and the Rockets not enough.

    I'm guessing a starting backcourt of Cuttino Mobley and Steve Francis coupled with around $18 million in cap space this summer to pursue Chris Webber is a "bad Dream" that most teams would like to be having about now, including the Clip Joint.

    The future is a bad Dream? How about Francis? And Mobley is averaging nearly 20 points a game! And Mo Taylor is playing well, he has tremendous upside! And Shandon Anderson? And the fact the Rocks have a chance to get Chris Webber? Foxsports is just trying to find a way to shoot down other teams to build their case. Besides, if we know the Clippers, half that team will be gone once they actually have to pay them some money!

    Forget about e-mail, where does this Monroe guy live ? I'm gonna have to pay him a visit. Just kidding, don't call the cops.

    What gets me is that we are almost as young as the Clips, yet we are 10 games better then te\hey are. Given our front office track record and available cap space, how could we NOT be the team of the future ?


    I'm just gonna smile when the Rockets prove Monroe wrong. Monroe prolly echoes the sentiments of most "experts" around the league.

    That guy is an idiot. How can you say that a team fighting for the playoffs with the most cap room (other than perenial suckers, clips, bulls) next year and multiple picks is going down? Huh?

    Sometimes I wonder if writers even check the facts b/f they submit their article.
