As I passed along last night (long BEFORE KRIV's morning report as mentioned on the home page) Francis did not make the team flight last night and was to have his possible hernia, groin strain, whatever problem checked out this morning. Francis HAS been checked out but did not stop to talk with the media afterward. Word should come soon from team doctors about the diagnosis. More later. Old School
He didn't stop to talk because he had to meet with Les real quick like to convince him to stay in Houston, then catch a plane to Minneapolis, to continue the playoff push... We can all Dream just a little.
He didn't stop to talk because he had to meet with Les real quick like to convince him to stay in Houston, then catch a plane to Minneapolis, to continue the playoff push... We can hope. Now's actually our chance to make a move. If we can beat MIN tonight, they could conceivably lose 4 straight (@Den, @LA, @Pho) ... Seattle plays Phoenix the next two games, so we can make a move on one of those two teams as well. We, on the other hand, after playing MIN, play 3 pretty easy teams... If Francis' injury is only for a few games, those are the best games to miss... If we can win 4 straight, we could possibly find ourselves 4 games out with 2 games left against MIN.... with 30+ games left.
To expand on the above, Terrell Brandon is out until the All-Star break, so it might actually be possible.....
Francis doesn't need surgery. He'll try to play with the hernia. If he can't, he could be out up to 3 to 4 weeks ------------------ Kris Gardner, The Houston Roundball Review www.DoTheReview.com
You mean he was on his way to talk to Les about a nice area in Baltimore for an arena near his childhood home? Old School
