Steve Francis is in great company. He is one of only four players EVER to have career average of:

    20pts. 6rebs. 6 assists

    The other 3 include

    Larry Bird
    Oscar Robertson
    Grant Hill

WOW... kinda puts things into perspective.

I was wondering why there hasnt been more talk about Steves play against the Clips on Sunday ,,over 30 pts...missed a quadruple double by 2 steals and 4 rebounds..........sensational.!! And we take it for granted.

    because we lost.
    personal accomplishment is always secondary.
Yao didn't get too excited about his breakthrough game against the Mavs for the same reason.

Steve put up: 31pts, 6 reb, 10 asst, and 8 steals, while putting the Rockets in the position to win.
To ignore this, proves the point, Steves performance is taken for granted......

Steve is 3 years away from where he should be.

We have a long way to go...

Yao, will help Steve make that learning process better.

    I think you are wrong.

    LOOK AT Jordan 1988-1989:
    32.5pts, 8 rebs, 8 assists

I believe those are career figures aries323 is talking about. There must be lots of players who've averaged that over a season.

What are Grant Hill's career figures? He must be close.

How come Magic isnt on that list? Shouldn't he be?

Francis will average 25, 7, 6 at the end of his career. But the difference between him and Grant Hill will be that he'll have a ring.

Francis is a superstar, he is going to get better and better as he and Ming get used to each other.

Add in the 8 turnovers and he barely missed a quintuple double.

I agree with you on this point .

However, why does a post about another players accomplishments or shortcomings have to somehow be turned into an attempt to show Yao's supposed brilliance.

Jordan's career average is 30.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 5.3 apg.

0.7 apg from being among the "great company." Who says he is the greatest ever?;)

I find this post funny coming from a guy who has this as his as his signature:
    A future ROCKET BOXSCORE!!!
    Francis - 21pts, 10ast
    Mobley - 28pts, 2stl
    Griffin -- 15pts, 12rbs, 3bks
    Yao --- 14pts, 18rbs, 5bks, 5ast
    Nachbar - 10pts, 7rbs

Not only did Steve beat your hopes & dreams by 10 points, he added 6 rebounds and 8 steals to boot!

Grant Hill... right now in his career... doesn't even come close to what Franchise is going to do. Franchise will have Oscar Robertson numbers if his stats keep increasing like the way it has in the last few years.
