Francis has to be the worst defender in the league

    Watching the game right now, it pisses me off the way Francis plays defense. I mean he is standing like 3-4 ft away from Marbury just daring him to shoot. Marbury is not having a good game, but he easily could the way Francis plays d. He doesnt even put up a hand in the face. Cuttino's defense has gotten much better in the last couple of games, but Francis's defense gets more and more pathetic every game.

    The sad thing is if he tries to play tight D the guy will blow right by him. Look what Palacio did to him, Steve looked like he was on skates.

    Hey, marbury was 9-26 or something for the game. Francis was teasing him, trying to tempt him to shoot since he knew Marbury was cold. :)

    did you guys notice how all Marbury did was drive? He didn't want to shoot from the outside. Steve backed off to try to gain an advantage when he penetrated. I'm not saying he played good D, but he played smart D.

    Only if he stole the ball before they drove to the hoop. Doesn't he give up 2-6 inches on pretty much all two guards. I think we'd be better off if Moochie wasn't in the game at 1 and SF at 2, because that means the other teams PG is guarded by Moochie.

    woofer-I suggest that because they wouldn't be as quick as the PG's who blow by Steve.

    Also, Steve is as strong of a PG as there is in the league.

    And what's up with Francis only taking 10 shots tonight? He should get more than that, even when he's missing. True, we won, but 10 shots?? That's insane. Did he have migranes again tonight, or was he just defended well?

    When he wants to play defense (50% of the time) he can be the best perimeter defender. You will see come playoff time.

    I remember over the last 3 years or so Kobe shutting down Quitten and Iverson to name a few.

    Kobe needs to bring his defense every night.

    There is no way in hell he was defended well by Marbury, who might be worse than Francis.

    Oh, if anyone saw the Por-Mil game, you will see that Cassell might be the worst defensive player in the league.

    There are tons of bad defensive PGs.

    Davis
    Nash
    Francis
    Marbury
    Cassell
    Van Exel
    Parker
    Stoudamire
    Mark Jackson
    Jason Williams
    Kenny Anderson

    The Suns were selling out defensively to stop Francis by frequently bringing Marion over on a double team, among others.

    thats why Cuttino, Kenny and Walt had such big games offensively, because the Suns neglected them to focus on Steve.

    Suns defense got burned, no pun intended, from their traps.

    I can't remember how many wide open dunks we got.

    Steve might be the second worst point guard defender, unfortunately he plays in front of the only one that is worse.

    Actually Matt Bullard is the worst defender in the league. You could also make a case for Allan Houston and Stephon Marbury.

    Houston is actually pretty decent.

    His defense isn't pretty, but he does a good job of keeping his man in front of him.
