I don't know how many he has made, I just know it's been more than any other Rocket has made since Hakeem or Mad Max.

He hit a layup to win an early season game against Portland. Drilled a three to send the Memphis game into OT. He did the same with Miami. And of course, last night...

I believe he's 3 for 4 on that hand-off play with Yao for the 3ptrs. He also hit a driving layup in the lane against Portland, but that wasn't a buzzer beater quite like the one Marbury hit in our next game.

This got be Ruby, Steve and Yao's favorite plot. I knew they were going to repeat it in regulation. But how Lakers can't figure it out? When is next time they are going to do it again though I wish Rox win big?

But why do our guards put themselves in this position in the first place?

It seems like our guards fall apart in the last 2 minutes of close games, with stupid turnovers, and then have no choice but to redeem themselves with last second shots like these.

    Bar

    EXACTLY !!

The only time our team executes in a tight game is off of a timeout play.

I really think the answer is to put the ball in Yao's hands and let him make the good decision.

Dakota, a good example is the feed to Ming to close the game against LA.

You could say that Francis was lucky that Ming was under the basket, because it appeared as if he was about to cough up the ball again. It surely did not look like he was looking to pass, more like he ran into trouble and was looking for the foul.

    Barb,

Another EXACTLY for you...it is the same play we ran successfully at New Orleans, and at Miami to tie both of those game and send them into overtime.

umm wtf are you talking about here. we wanted to run the clock low, which steve did. steve had kobe pump faked in the air and had a free throw distance jumper to seal it which is a good shot. ming becomes open because shaq takes a step toward steve to challenge the shot, steve immediately fires it to ming for the dunk with one on the shot clock. exactly how much effing better did you want that play to turn out. and how would it have been bad if shaq had stayed home and steve had taken the 15 footer with kobe pump faked out of the way.

    francis 4 prez,

I think what they are saying is they want every last play run like how Jordan ran that play against Utah and Byron Russell. Did you notice how well-designed that play was with receivers in motion and pulling guards, Xs and Os seemingly painted on the floor dancing in perfect rhythm and timing....

uh no, it was a clear out for Jordan like usual with simple passing options should the D overcommit...Utah didn't overcommit, so Jordan shot the ball for the ring. Two times before that, they did overcommit and Jordan passed to a spot up shooter for two rings. This time, the Rockets ran a play for Francis to take as much time off as possible and get Jordan separation for a jumper or make the pass if they overcommit. Francis got his separation, the Laker's then overcommitted, and Francis gave up the open jumper for a slam dunk.

    Perfect!
