Unlike many of the posters here I don't expect Francis to be the answer at PG, but I did expect him to get a chance with Tmac going down, even if it was just a few minutes to give other players a breather. According to several poster's here Francis took off his warm ups after the game and didn't have his uniform on. This would go a long way to explaining why he didn't play last night. It seems unlikely that he would be told not to dress if he was active. I mean if Rick had ZERO intention of playing him regardless of the situation he could just put Steve on the inactive list. That makes me think that maybe Rick asked Francis to go in, found out he didn't have his uniform on, and then said never mind... If so then Francis is the one who blew his opportunity last night.
Could it be possible that he can take off his shooting shirt and jersey at the same time? Or is there a rule that says you must take off each article of clothing one at a time? You guys are reaching too much. I'm a huge Franchise fan but I don't think this deserves it's own thread, considering how many other Franchis thread are on the first page.
He isn't in the rotation, he wasn't going to play regardless. What can't you understand about that? They told him that at the beginning of the season (only God knows why) so he didn't blow his opportunity. Head would have been in there before Steve. The Rockets are known to screw players over once they sign here, or once they win the chip.
If this is really true and he didn't have his uniform on, then Steve really is a complete idiot. I like Steve and want to see him play and do well, but I have to admit, the guy sure isn't helping himself. Why in the world would he not have his uniform on??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the truly stupid thing about this thread (second one of its nature) is that people really beleive francis didn't have a jersey.
cause, man. its like a victorian get-up. trust me bro, it takes hours, literally HOURS to get into those things, and lets face it....why spend hours getting all dressed up when coach said you're not in the rotation? then he'd have to go home and spend hours getting out of the dern contraption. its a very complicated piece of clothing. people have died.
That is BS. Kirk wasn't in the rotation either, but he got minutes. If you're activated, you have to be ready to play, period. Anything can happen during a game. There's no reason for Steve to be sitting on the bench without his uniform on.
Some of you guys are just ridiculous , you can pull off the warm up and the jersey at the same time. Why would anyone, whether they are playing or not sit on the bench with just a warm up on. If he did then you are correct it is his fault, but unless you are in the locker room with the players just be quiet about the situation. If he was being that disruptive, and disrespectful to the team and the organization, it would be handled.
I believe Adelman will let Francis know ahead of time if he has a possibility of playing. Meaning if anything happens (ie Tmac's injury) there will be no chance of him playing. Now it's another day, and I think Adelman will tell Francis he's got a chance now.
I agree. If he didn't wear his jersey, that would be completely ridiculous. Why would you put everything else on and just decide to leave out the most important thing. I'm sure he just took it off with his warmups.
he wears it he just takes off the jersey and the warmup at the same time, same thing at the bucks game...
Not true. Francis took his jersey off immediately after the game and gave it to a kid in the front row near the tunnel.
