I was looking at the newest Beckett magazine (Carmello Anthony is on the cover), and there was an article that covered a conversation between Oscar Robertson and Steve Francis. Sorry that i don't have a link, but here's what I remember from it... Oscar was basically telling Francis that the offense should be run through Yao, because the guy is 7'6", but he told Steve not to worry. He said that even though Yao may be the focus of the offense, it is still Francis' team to run. The best part is though, that Francis really seemed to be hanging on to every word Oscar said to him about being the spiritual leader on the court. Francis asked him "well what about the nights when Yao goes 1-6 and 1-7?" and Oscar just said that it's Steve's job to know when to take over the game, and when to get the ball to Yao in the post. He said that especially since Francis is the point guard, he's gonna have to learn that the ball is in his court, and it's up to him to get Yao to play to the fullest of his potential. It's a really good article. You should pick the magazine up if you can!
I believe that the conversation between Oscar and Francis occurred during the All-Star Break of last year.
