thacabbageman's thread had me eyeballing Francis during this game. I wanted to see what Steve's weaknesses were.

From this game, I saw him dribble into a corner and either lose it out of bounds, get it stolen, make a lazy pass that just wasted more time off the shot clock, or some other non-positive result.

He did have some nice moves and some good shots, but someone of his talent should. I mean, those moves and shots are much easier to make when you're up or down by 10. It's the "crunch time" stuff that makes you a star.

He seemed to do it more often later in the game, too. This is not a sign of leadership. It's not a sign of being a "clutch" player. Nor, is it a sign of being a "go-to" guy.

At the end of the 4th quarter and again at the end of over-time, I found myself wishing someone else was handling the ball, and that someone else was taking the last shot.

we shall be the chastised ones....and you might not agree with my final assessment.

A Franchise should thrive at the end....I don't see it, yet. Mobley still is the better of the two.

That aside...Francis can certaintly run my offense any day of the week. I still find my Calvin Murphy instincts kicking in: Shoot MORE stevie!!! Starting with all open 10-15 footers under 2 minutes!!!
