Do I need to say anymore. With all the new rules I'd like to see some slashing. Mobley is missing jump shots left and right. I don't mind that he is taking them because somebody has to take the shots, but why not drive and get some easy baskets or foul shots. FRancis has been driving, but I'd like to see even more of it. I know, I know, the double teams have kept him from getting into the groove. Well, hello, maybe we need to get him the ball in other ways like running him off some screens for some alley oops. With all the new rules I just think it's a waste not to get into the paint and draw a foul. I will give Anderson a break on this subject, because as they said last night he seems to be a role player rather than a creator. No problem, as long as somebody on this team tries to penetrate.
i haven't seen that many games but i watch francis and he plays with a ton of heart but the kid is gonna get himself killed. he slashes and stuff but i think he's too small to be able to keep taking the fouls. i got sick when i saw him get his eyes poked out by ewing the other night. the kid is just getting punished and this is only his first year. oh well. i guess he's like a timex. takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.
Stevie should be going to the line 10-15 times a game and you can just about say the same thing about Mobes.These guys can get to the hoop at will.Rudy needs to take advantage of the new rules.Heck,even with the old rules I'd feel the same.
Wham, You can't be afraid of being injured. Francis has got to take advantage of his skills or become like every other player in this league. He's going to get poked and bruised no matter where he is on the court. Eye poking is a part of the game. Ewing and Olajuwon have poked more eyes than Chamberlain has women. It's part of the game. Shaq gets hammered every night out. If your a good player your going to take a beating because everyone wants you to stop doing what your so good at doing. They try to intimidate you. That's how they get into your head. You can't let them. FRancis is going to get calls in a few years, just like Jordan did, but in order to get that respect he's got to keep diving into the lane. It helps the team in so many ways when you get to line. you get easy points. Rest. And it allows you to set up a defense. Some may say that during the Olajuwon years we did not get to line and we still won a championship. I know, but you've got to remember that Olajuwon got hammered when he was young to. That's how he became a great player. He learned how to score despite getting hammered and despite all the double teams. Soon enough, the frustration is rewarded with lots of calls in your favor.
