Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley were in Austin today signing autographs for a Discover Card promotion. They were in front of Einstein's Arcades on the UT campus in a large bus. Francis will be there from 11-1 tomorrow as well, but Mobley will not. Rocket Ismail from the Dallas Cowboys will also be present. ------------------

Same here. I missed out on Cuttino, but I got a call from a friend about Steve. I quickly ran back to my room, got my Wink DMX shoebox, ran all the way to the Drag, and fortunately got in line. That Discover Bus is so sweet!!! Leather, TV, DVD, MD/CD Changer, Satelite, Bose speakers...Free Drinks and the all that other stuff. Steve signed my shoebox. I could have gotten him to sign my shoes but I like to wear them. He also signed a glossy photo. I asked him about Webber...he said "He's my boy. Hopefully." What a day ------------------

I just met Steve Francis...it was a cool experience. There weren't too many people there so I got a chance to ask him a few questions... I asked him if he thought we would be able to sign Webber this summer...He said they would try everything to make it happen. I asked him if he thought the rockets would resign moochie...He said "ofcourse". I asked him if he was going for the Mavericks or the Spurs...He said he likes the Mavericks, but he thinks the Spurs have a bit too much experience for them. My experience with Steve Francis. I told him it was my 21st birthday, he wished me a happy one....and told me to get out my ID. I said "This beats alcohol anyday." He and everybody else laughed Got a picture with him and then ended it off by saying "Good luck recruiting a certain power forward." "I'll try my best," he said. One last thing, I mentioned to him that I was working at Royal Oaks Country Club (where Cuttino lives) and asked him if he plays golf with Cuttino out there He said "Cuttino told you he can golf, Uh he cant play." I told Steve that I would enjoy cleaning Cuttino's clubs this summer. he said he would make some appearances out there. I'm at the PCL now...just met Steve. I said, whassup Wink, and he gave me some props. He said I was the first person to call him that. Took a picture with him and got his autograph. Helluva nice guy- all smiles. He's really gotten big since his rookie year. Why does everybody keep asking him about C-Webb?
