    It was the nickname of somebody I knew that had prescriptions for strong painkillers (major back problems) and continued drinking against doctor's orders. Over a period of time, this caused additional medical problems and led to his death.

    Sorry to hear that Mango,
    My father's dying of alcoholism as we speak. Or so I hear, I last spoke to him Oct/1990, which was the 8th time that I had spoken to him since 1985, when my parents were divorced after he left DTOX, fell asleep in the snow and had his big toe amputated.

    On a brighter note: I have a new kitty, and Walt Williams continued his recent streak w/ an 18 point performance tonight. [​IMG]

    Life, like the Rockets' season, requires 'looking for the good'.

    Sorry to be taking this back to the original post, but I don't quite understand the team for next season:

    Jones
    Anderson
    Martin
    Cato

    I guess you're hoping we get lucky with the ping pong balls and get the no1 pick for Martin ? And is that Charles Jones playing shooting guard ? That's all we got the cap room for.... I always liked him in a rockets uniform, but that guy is WAY too old and, let's face it, WAY too slow to play shooting guard ( not to mention the fact he can't shoot ).
    Anyway, apart from good ol' charles jones I like the team !
