Could Francis be figuring out winning is more important than playing with his friends? Steve has made comments lately that indicate he is getting impatient. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkn/rox/1685857 "We've been patient for three years," Francis said. "There's nothing about a young team jelling. We have a core group of guys that have been together. If this is about jelling, we have a problem." Then in this article without reason he brings up that Cat will play like everyone else and says "I don't think he'll have a problem with that." http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkn/1689890 Steve Francis. "I know that once he gets back, he's going to be doing what everyone else has been doing -- fitting in with our scheme of things, which is starting inside and going outside. "Look how we won (Tuesday). We passed the ball, and we won the game. I don't think he'll have a problem with that." That’s a strange thing to say out of the blue. Does this indicate Steve thinks Cat needs to adjust his game? Sure sounds like it. So what does Cat think? In his opinion does he think he needs to adjust his game? Mobley "It's the same thing -- going out there and being aggressive sometimes, directing us at other times and sparking us on the defensive end," Mobley said of his role. "Just the same thing I've been doing. Doesn't sound like it. Could this be the beginning of the end of the Cat Francis love affair?
Your thinking is legit, except for the last question. Steve is sending a message to the team, including Cat, especially considering the timing of his comments. I also think Cat has received his message, by watching the last 6 games or so. I do think Cat will adapt to the new scheme. If Steve is pitching the changes, everybody has to listen. Saturday's game against Phily is so inteseting, I can't wait.
