    interesting statistic...

of course 'Sheed is by far the league leader with 26. But then Francis comes in second with 14 (followed by K. Malone, C. Gatling, R. Miller, K. Garnett...)

HAd no idea that Wink got T'd up so much. Don't get to watch that many Rocks games, so I'm assuming it's arguing with refs. Or maybe hanging on the rim? Either way, surprising.

    that's all

Funny how people complain about Cat complaining to officials, but Stevie has the most tech's? Francis is a cancer! [IMG] Seriously, I agree it's probably the backboard thing. The NBA is run by dictators. . .

It's funny (though, of course, understandable) that most of the leaders in techs are franchise players. Gatling is the most surprising -- then again, he may be the best player on their roster. [IMG] I know, I know, Andre Miller.

I've seen the backboard thing only twice at home, and one of them was Mobley. I can't recall too many others to make a difference.

Francis argues a lot on key plays. Mobley whines annoyingly, but Francis really shows up the refs when he complains. I think that is why he gets more techs than Mobley, even though Mobley whines more visibly.

They both need to clam up, and pick their moments. And do it softly.

While we're on the subject, I was watching the beginning of a Hornets game lately, and they were previewing Baron Davis. Showing some of his highlights, there was one where he too slapped the backboard on a dunk.

How many players are doing this? Are they getting technicals as well?

Heypartner, "key plays"? I dont really see that. They both complain though, and it doesnt hurt the team so nobody should be complaining about it. Cat was complaining too much earlier in the season, but he has gotten better. God forbid a few of the rockets players play with some passion and get a few techs in the process [IMG]

I mean he restrains himself from whining on everything like Mobley. By "key plays" in this context, I simply meant plays that he thinks are key moments to complain, and so does the crowd. I don't mean game winners and stuff like that. Unlike Mobley, Francis seems to at least try to pick his moments, but he ends up showing up the ref. If he can pick his moments more softly, he'd probably have less technicals.

I don't know, maybe he is getting T'ed for language. I don't really know. But he does jump around like a kid, often. Why he gets more than Mobley since Cuttino jumps around, too, is all that I was trying to suggest.

I agree, its probably just the fact he's cussing out the refs as opposed to cuttino's whining. I do see where he whines at some times where its not needed, but I dont think he complains too much. Also, most of the time Cat and Steve both have legit beef when they complain to the refs, because both of them do get hit hard when they go to the hole. So, at least they are not b****ing without reason.

I consider showing up the official as a form of whining. . .
