Hey guys, I'm sure there have been a million Francis threads, but I haven't been on since '05 and was at the Rockets/Mavs game on Monday and just wanted to share a few observations. First off, i was a huge Franchise fan, and I realisiticly knew I had a slim chance to see him get any playing time, especially since it was such a close game however, Francis' attitude throughout the entire night pissed me off, he was obviously defying the coach and going out of his way to stand apart from the team. Here is some thing I caught that you probably couldn't catch on TV. 1) during pre-game warm-ups the enitre team was wearing, the same combination of threads except for Francis, he chose not to wear what everybody else on the team was wearing... whatever. 2) Everytime, the rox called timeout Francis stood farther apart from Adelman than any other single member of the organization, not just players. and, finally this is what really pissed me off 3) after the game, Francis finally took off his shooting shirt and he wasn't even wearing his jersey, he had on a black wife beater. I guess it's a good thing Adelman didn't call his name. anyways, has anyone else noticed this in other games, or was francis aware before the start of the game that he wouldn't be playing. Francis was cheering the team on, looked very upbeat for the game. Even more than Rafer, who looked a little pissed he was being left on the sidelines in the 4th. What do you want him to do, steal the pompoms from one of the RPD's and start doing cartwheels. Geez get over it already.
If the coach told him he wasn't going to be playing that night, see no problem with him not being in uniform. If he was DNP he cant come in the game anyways.

doesnt really bother me, but i was wondering the same thing, but might be 'cuz he became a member in '03 but to comment on the thread... francis has been a lot better the last two games with looking more involved and cheering on his team... he was probably the first to jump up and high five ppl when yao dunked after splitting the double team of the mavs' two j.howards..
Steve was cheering on the bench...matter of fact, he was telling luther head something during the time-out before luther went back in the game (it was not a joke)
i highly doubt a coach is gonna tell a player on his 12 man roster that they're not going to play before the game. injuries happen and they are there just in case.
francis is the devil man, you should have heard the fits the talk show hosts had over fans cheering for him. unbelievable. everyone take a chill pill
did anyone notice that with 9 seconds left in the spurs game, francis took off his warm up and was wearing his jersey underneath. It looked like the spurs were gonna foul and adelman was gonna put steve in for the last 9 sec. yea i know, they are meaningless seconds at the end of a game already decided, BUT if its true that steve didnt where his jersey at the dallas game cuz adelman said he wouldnt play, then maybe adelman told him he might play in the spurs game....progress??
lol, imagine if mj or rafer was injured and he had to come in to the game! But seriously though, the guy has given interviews to various reporters making it clear that he is gonna wait for his chance although not sounding he is gonna work extra hard. He's sounding more and more like last year's bonzi. But at the same time you can't blame him for feeling upset.
If that truly is his attitude, he probably will never see the court. An out of shape guy with a bad attitude isn't working into the rotation any quicker. If all this is true.
um i think he was saying francis didnt have his PLAYING jersey on under his warmup outfit. t-mac always wears his playing jersey obviously, and whats wrong with the black wifebeater he wears underneath it?
