I gotta hand it to Franchise. He had 15 in the 4th, and two clutch assists which led to four points by Hill. I admit, I'm all for Stevie to fail but it looks like he is proving doubters like me wrong. I still think Houston got the better end in the deal. The Rockets just need to have more time to gel as a team.
I think we got the better end of the deal, but not by much. T-Mac would be blowing peopel away right now as well if it wasnt for that a-hole Gundy.
Man, watching Franchise living it up in Orlando pisses me off. I wish we could let T-Mac go crazy. But if you're under JVG's regime, you're going to be going in sloooooow motion. Sucks.
I would agree If it wasa str8 up T-mac for Francis but from what I am seeing It is FRANCIS - CAT and cato for TMAC lue and howard The meat being FRANCIS and CAT for TMAC I give a slight edge to the Magic because 2 players averaging 18~19 is better than one avg 30 and the weaker part .. . at this point CATO > Howard and Lue Rocket River
I'm happy for Steve. The steve bashing threads last year grew old. I'm glad to see him succeed in Orlando; i definitely am rooting for him. In regards to the better end of the deal; it's unfair to even answer that question. Both teams got what they wanted; you can't judge this deal based on 1 month of the season from any perspective. As they say with draft picks; we can fully evaluate this deal fully in 3 years.
You forgot to bold-face certain words or clarification in your post. I took the liberty of doing it for you above.
Man, they already have 8 wins......boooo I'm glad for SF and the other ex rox. They are thriving right now. He looks as good as he did his first couple of years in the league. Sad....sad. This team is just not loveable right now.
8-4 would put them at 5th in the West, and 6-9 would put us at 10th in the East. I don't think the quality difference in the league would really make a difference. The magic are good. We are not.
That would hold a bit more weight if our resume did not include a loss to the Hawks followed by a home loss to the Knicks.
The regular season isn't even 1/4 done. Half the team changed since last year. TMac and the rest of the team will hit their stride eventually. I'm happy for Francis because he's finally living up to the potential he teased us with for years. But that wasn't going to happen in Houston. It just wasn't. He needed a change in scenery (and a less rigid coach than JVG) to make The Leap. But TMac didn't stop being TMac overnight. Once he and Yao learn to play together, things will start clicking for Houston. It's a looooooong season.
