i know it's hard to go against what's cool nowadays, but tracy has played through more injuries than most in this league.

I think Raja Bell's toughness is seriously overrated and how can he include Tony Allen?

Tracy's reliability is equivalent to Rosens knowledge of anything Rockets related.

I like Mcgrady, and he may be tough in the Dirk Nowitzki play through injury kind of way (even that's questionable), but he is NOT a tough in game player. He's very talented but he doesn't like to take contact and for good reason. He doesn't finish well when bumped.

I think this Rosen list is pretty good. I don't understand all the Kendrick Perkins hate. I like him, he's a throwback big man. He plays D, rebounds, blocks shots...no need to smile.

Michael Beasley: He would rather put up a flipper than try to dunk over or through a nasty big man.

That is not a good enough reason to classify someone as soft. He is just more of a finesse player than power player. Doesn't make him soft.

Awwww man that list is horrible. If this list is based on guys' "game" then he has failed terribly. Reynoldo Balkman tough?? Andre Nocioni tough?? How can a jumpshooter be tough?? lol This list is funny. No Yao Ming if he is talking about soft games. Come on. This guy sucks he shouldn't right another article for a while.

    Lmfao.

This is the same guy who got into fights in his Orlando days. I don't see how Tracy is soft at all.

Someone please link me to a decent article by Rosen...ever. Don't think you can.

However, he totally avoids contact now and is just a jumpshooter (and not a great one, though he distributes well) and might quite possibly be the most melodramatic player in the NBA when he is playing injured...but he does play hurt a lot.

I think he's somewhere in the middle...but MENTALLY, he is one of the softest "tier 1" players in the NBA.

I stopped reading when he classified Tony IBrokeMyLegAfterTheWhistle Allen as "tough".

Vince and T-mac weren't always soft. They got how they were from not being soft enough. I like how gasol went from "gasoft" to a "finesse player" in one season

I was just thinking if one day NBA decided to change the rules and make jump shooting worth only 1 point and dunk 3 points (dunk over 7fts for 7points?), alot of those so-called-soft-guys would become a lot more tougher, yay?

    haha, just some random thoughts

This list is whack. Tmac of course if not a drive to the paint dunk over anyone type of player, but he is by no means soft.

"Delonte West: In his own quiet way, West never gives up on a play and is never, ever intimidated."

it seems alot of the people on this list for tough guys are just undersized guys who play their position like they are supposed too. I mean, delonte west????? how about a chuck hayes if we are just going with undersized players for their position. Hayes is a bruiser for being completely undersized at both of his positions. And how is battier not a tough player. This guy should be writing for for an NBA funny pages.

You mean the "fight" against a much smaller Bobby Jackson or the one against the short, chubby Puerto Rican? Anyway, funny how Rosen has a seperate category for Kevin Garnett but fails to include him in it.

added on to the TMac arguement. The man is getting older, u dont see Kobe flying over 2 defenders and throwing down monster jams anymore either. The point is that as these players mature they know that two points is two points. Do you think that Lebron will be throwing down monster jams in traffic regularly 5 years from now?? more than likely he will be pulling up for the easy 5 footer and save his energy. Just bc people get old doesnt mean they are soft.

*I am by no means promoting that lebron is a tough player, i actually think he is one of the softest players in the league. For his physical body structure, he is the biggest whimp and complainer in the entire league. I would love to see him actually go out of a game for once from all of the "injuries" he suffers when he lays on the ground for like 3 times a game.
