Sorry if it has been posted. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8671838/Romo-has-broken-finger,-out-up-to-four-weeks
Being talked about in the NFL Week 6 thread. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=155359 I think Wade Phillips said the punter and Felix Jones are out too.
Brad Johnson whose only upside may be that he can protect the ball a little better than Romo besides that he doesn't have an arm like Romo and he is nowhere near as mobile.
I disagree. Brad Johnson lead a below-average Tampa Bay team to a Super Bowl victory while hurt. Brad Johnson might be the most underrated quaterback of our time. Just kidding. TB would not have touched the Raiders in that game if they didn't intercept the ball every time it was passed. And don't forget about Joe Jurevicious making about 5 unbelievable catches. Brad Johnson is such a dirty ginger.
Losing to Arizona hurts. Losing Romo for 4 weeks will hurt even worse. Lucky with the bye week it's only 3 games but still.
If by a lot in common you mean that the Cowboys are evil and all that is wrong in the world and that the Rockets are everything that embodies goodness, truth, and happy fun time, then yes they are damn near identical.
Yep, the circus has finally caught up to us...Fock...the game sucked, but we played crappy all game...OT delayed the inevitable... Romo out, and now we depend on Brad Johnson...
I would just like to take the opportunity to wish the Cowboys, their owner, their fans nothing but the best, we're all rooting for you. OH AND, FOCK DALLAS
Teams don't typically get better long-term once Bill Parcells leaves... and in some cases get worse until you hire a Parcells disciple to right the ship again (like the Pats did with Bellicheck). Also, the fact that they did so well last year doesn't suprise me.. it was still largely Parcell's team... its his draft picks, his approved FA signings, and his developed QB. But each week (and each off-season) you will see his influence wear off bit by bit... and ultimately, they will be in trouble with Wade running the asylum.
Yeh and I root for both teams. Too many damn early playoff exits. The Rockets need to advance this year to keep me from going crazy.
I know Romo being out for a month is huge, but... ...I think McBriar being out for the season hurts almost as much. IMO, he's the best punter in the league, and has been for a few years now. Few special teams players can change field position like he can. ...I really, really, really hope this isn't a situation for McBriar where he'll never be the same again. I'd hate to see a great career ruined due to crappy blocking. Whoever missed that block better be crying himself to sleep.
yep, including their times of greatness and times of futility.(well at least the past decade or so) And now it seems unrealized potential as well. Hopefully at least the rockets can break through that curse this year.
He really hasn't been his normal excellent self this season. Quite a few off the side of his foot, and he hasn't really been pinning people deep like in the past.
