Some love from our dear, good friend Charlie Rosen.

    HOUSTON

Except for a bummer offensive performance by Ron Artest — he made only 2 of his 10 jumpers — the Rockets were individually and collectively awesome.

Brooks was a dynamo, scoring from near and far to the tune of 34 humongous points.

Shane Battier played his usual adhesive defense against Kobe but also took advantage of the Lakers' laissez-faire defense by dropping five treys and generally shooting the lights both out and on.

With Hayes inserted into the lineup in lieu of Yao, Houston's defense was much more active, Gasol didn't have to be doubled and the middle was unclogged on offense. That's why Brooks, Kyle Lowry and Von Wafer were able to zip hoopwards so often.

Artest, Hayes and Luis Scola dominated the rebounding department and also seemed to come up with every loose ball in the lane.

Moreover, the Rockets were totally unselfish — rarely missing an opportunity to make the extra passes that led to so many open shots.

In short, the Rockets displayed every characteristic that the Lakers lacked: hustle, toughness, passion and intelligence.

In Game 4, the Rockets demonstrated that they have the heart of champions. Game 5 will offer the Lakers their chance to ace the latest gut-check.

what a great reminder that the Lakers DO NOT have the heart of a champion.

these Lakers are NOT champions, let's not forget their playoff woes since Shaq left.

we've got to hold Kobe down like in Games 1 and 4

Nothing has changed. Rosen is still an inflammatory jerk. Who in their right mind wouldn't say the same thing right now. After today's game it's easy to give bandwagon praise to the Rockets.

Rosen's analysis are not bad. When Rockets were a one dimensional team under Gundy, he picked it apart and said it as it was. As the team has progressed under Adelman, he has applauded them.

Honestly, it's not hard and out of line to criticize a Gundy offense.

I don't know why I get suspicious of any compliments from pro-Lakers journalists/commentators. Like they are doing it to light a fire and get the Lakers to prove them wrong.

Yeah, that is how they roll and for some reason it benefits the Lakers to have the media question their resolve. I believe it will not work this time for game 5. Rockets by 6.

This game reminded me of the Lakers win ( 22nd) of our streak last year. Yao out and Tracy played crappy (Artest) while everyone stepped up. Brooks scored 30+ just like Rafer did and we won the game because of him. Facing adversity and everyone counting them out, the Rockets still won! Heart of a Champion!

    that's a great comparison!
I believe if for one year somehow we can stay healthy for a change, we can win the championship!

I knew barney stenson had his own blog but not his own sports column. "Awesome!" " Totally!"
    :)

i really loved our determination to clean up the boards and pick up ever loose ball.

dude, Yao wasn't in the 22nd win last year and if you watched the 1st half t-mac just didn't score well. He can do much more than score much like ron did for portions of the game last night. T-mac was always a constant threat to go off so he is double teamed so in the 22nd win last year he was able to create for the team so they could really get going and once he does that it's lights out, game, set, match.

For people to say/think that is probably the biggest accomplishment for the Rockets this year. Getting out the first was great, but this team finding it's identity is amazing.

Remember the Toronto game? We came a long long way.
