I have Dish Network and can not get the Rockets games, what gives? I tune to 416 and it shows some other stuff and the Alternate Channels have other NBA Games on...Is anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks

Its blocked. Thats what the Supervisor at the Technical support group over at Dishnetwork told me.

First thing in the morning, im canceling my service with them.

its simply ridiculous, I get FSSW fine, i get Alternate 1, and alternate and alternate 2. but whenever there is programming already scheduled on FSSW (416) they send the rockets game over to Alternate 4 (448).

Im paying for all my Fox Sports Channels, and the one I need, they tell me that I cant have. paying for crap that i dont get, hmm, stealing if you ask me.

i had the exact same problem the last 2 games. i can't find the game at all, and i'm all over the Dish Channel Guide.

    lostelephant -- what's blocked???

i'm glad someone started a thread on this...i've been meaning to ask others if they had the same problem. agreed that i'm cancelling dish network if this is a problem that isn't easily remedied.

Usually for Fox Sports they would have the game on FSSW and if its not on there (another game is on or scheduled) then they put the game on one of the ALT channels. I've had no problem watching Rockets games

Yeah thats what they do! They have about 4 ALT channels and if another NBA team is scheduled on FSSW then they will move the game to the ALT channels.

    Ex.

Spurs game is at 8:30pm and FSSW wants to show that game on their main channel but the Rockets and Mavs game is scheduled for 7:30 then they would move those to games to the ALT channels so it doesn't conflict with the Spurs game. That way they can cover all 3 NBA teams on FSSW

I have no problem with them putting the rockets game on an alternate channel.

but when im paying for for those games, and they put it on a channel (Alternate 3 and Alternate 4) that they wont give me, thats simply an outrage.

i called them a week and a half ago, and they told me i wasnt recieveing those channels because my satellite dish was obsolete and wasnt recieving one of the satellites ive been paying for. after they installed a new dish, the same problem exists and only yesterday did they tell me, ohh no, you are not permitted to watch rockets games, you can watch astros, rangers, stars.....but you dont have permission to watch rockets. there have been a couple times this season where the rockets games werent delegated to the alternate channels. and i watched those games fine, i explained that to the technical supoort person, and they couldn't offer and explanation.

what direct tv package are you using?

the only package i can find that includes the fox sports net games is somewhere in the 90 dollar range.

can you take a base package and add them? if so how much?
