    My 1st choice is here ( Houston) and has been for a while. I havent taked to Weis or Fratelo. If that is were I have to go that is were I have to go. It is a good situation there.

    [Fox 26] Stoudamire to Memphis false?

    Paraphrasing here...

    Mark Berman interviewed DS today out at Big League Dreams (whic by the was AWESOME), and Stoudamire shot down the report that he and Memphis have agreed to a deal.

    He said that HE himself had not talked to Memphis and the his agent spoke with them ONCE. He said that as it stands right now, HOUSTON is his #1 choice, but if that doesnt work out that he'll have to make due with it and move on.

    So this story made a 180 turn. He went from agreeing with the Grizzlies to not talking to them yet?

    Let's see what the Chronicle says tomorrow morning. I'm glad the smoke and mirrors finally go away on Tuesday. But then we still have to wait again until August 15th for everything to be out into the open.

    dang and here i was glad that i had finally seen an end to all the damon threads.

    interesting that he did say that though....did his agent just agree to terms with memphis because of a contract that would suit him (the agent) better?

    You're right. You know Cuban is not going to cut Finley until the last possible second i.e. 11:59PM, August 14th. He probably doesn't want to give other teams an early shot at his guy, when he's paying him 15mill.

    Staudamire was just on Ch 2 said "Portland is trying to block everything I'm doing'". I'm guessing that means sign and trade obviously.

    That reaction says it all. It said to me 100% that he'll be in Houston. Portland will make it happen. Tho I hope they don't.

    I guess Portland is either jerking DS around or they don't want anything the Rox can offer back. With these hostile words, DS probably killed any chance at a SnT getting worked out. Then again, the Blazers took their time with SAR & the Nets. We'll know in about 60 hours for sure.

    Weird I've been reading this headline all day on TV.

    Reportedly Damon Stoudamirre to sign deal with Memphis Grizzlies.

    The league needs to investigate this if Damon is not signing, I would think that it has to be coming from the Grizz camp.

    The signing didn't make any sense to me. Why would Stoudemire go to the Grizzlies for 4mill/yr? He can pick any team he wants for 4mill/year. I think he's pushing to come to Houston, but Portland probably wants more than CD is willing to give away. Portland is probably asking for an impact player (Mike James) and they are refusing to take an expiring contract.

    I'll bet it came from Portland. How else would the media get ahold of a possible Howard for DS swap and Portland turning it down because they didn't want Howard.
