Jeebus, the wingnuts at Fox News aren't even trying to hide their racism. Is Cindy McCain, John McCain's baby mama? Is Laura Bush, George's baby mama? Actually, I guess you could make a case that McCain's first wife is a "baby mama", since they had kids together and aren't married anymore, but it would still be a stretch.
But you're just an Obama Kool Aid drinker who can't take legitimate criticism. Who's gonna be the first idiot with that post?
hahahahah! Let it begin. Seriously, I was first of the opinion I would quickly get tired of Obama because I would always have to hear how people and the media is being racist against him but now I am thinking that him being president and taking attacks will do more to help race relations than anything.
yes, white people will finally get to be openly racist again, that's what you're rooting for edit: again, what a noble cause
For the second set, not the first set. I am glad to have cleared that up for you. FWIW I find this more stupid than racist.
its offensive to michelle obama, I really don't care about the remark but Fox obviously has a problem with the woman and now they're insulting her. its ridiculous, petty, and oh yeah, this is a "legitimate" news organization. anyone (not you) who defends this at least please admit that this is nothing but a tabloid network
They celebrate their diversity and 'uniqueness' then throw a fit whenever it's brought into the limelight. Just ridiculous. Can't have it both ways, people. Always looking for something to complain about...
Can someone find the video? It seems to me that Fox is running the tagline on the bottom to match what someone is saying on the show, which they do frequently. It's possible that they have a liberal commentator on cracking a joke? I don't recognize the person on the left, but she could be one of their liberal speakers. I have noticed that Fox likes to use black commentators whenever they discuss Obama. (Not always, but frequently.) Clearly they want to avoid racist labels.
This is slightly ridiculous. You are saying this based on a screen cap. A screen cap, not even a video! We are supposed to assume Reverend Wright isn't really saying GD America because the 3 minutes or so are out of context, but you are judging a network based on a screen cap?
Fox News is as offensive as Michelle Obama herself... http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0411/02/se.06.html
You can't honestly think that the phrase "baby mama" has ever been used before on Fox News to describe a presidential candidate's wife. As such, it's being specifically made for some reason - and there is really only one possible explanation: because she's black. Is it emblamatic of racism - maybe. At a minimum it's in very bad taste. Don't feign ignorance - it's too easy to see through in this case.
They're just trying to reach out. They saw a rerun of Airplane! and figured the best way to appeal to this new demographic was to Jive things up a bit.
