Fox 26 stopping HD to let me know I'm watching Fox 26

    Anyone else notice this...Fox suddenly changes to SD in the middle of an HD program, with the 4:3 ratio and the black bars, waits five seconds, then shows the Fox 26 logo. Then back to HD.

    I am boiling.

    See otherwise, you would take HD for granted. Fox 26 wants to teach a lesson to a bunch of ingrates.

    Haha, yeah. I notice it every single time it happens. It doesn't really piss me off, I just think it's hilarious that they don't have the technology to put their stupid logo on an HD picture.

    The audio on Fox during the Texans game was horrible. And there were several times that it switched between standard and HD.

    This isn't as bad as ESPN/TNT cutting to commercials during the game. They used to wait until a time out, or after the player interview is done. Now they have set commercial breaks.

    Yeah it seems like every half hour that happens then it will switch in and out of HD for a few seconds at the most. Nothing really bad as long it's not the audio that messes up.

    Reminds me of the scroll that would pop up to let me know that analog signals would stop broadcasting on some date. Nice way to take up the bottom 1/5th or so of the screen while switching from HD to SD.

    During the Cowboys game, local Fox broke in with this a few times too, not just the Texans game, but the real annoying thing was the 'Weather Alert' they had to throw up there, and then they forgot to switch it back for like 10 minutes.

    Grr.
