First before I post this I just want to say do this only if Mobley will not sign.

Okay since Denver, Utah, and the Clippers are already about to do a deal how about we get involved? This is how it would shake out...

    1. Clippers get- Tariq Abdhul Wahad
    2. Jazz get- Derek Anderson or Cuttino Mobley
    3. Nuggets get- Cuttino Mobley or Derek Anderson
    4. Rockets get- Deshawn Stevenson

To all who wanted that backcourt withthe 40plus inch vertical there it is. Take in note this is only if Mobley wont sign then we workout a deal

You know, there's a thing called the salary cap that would kill that deal. The Jazz are way over the cap I know, and could not take Mobley or Derek Anderson by throwing in Stevenson. As for us, there have got to be much better things we could get for Mobley if he won't resign. I would think Rudy wants to win now, not wait years on a high schooler to develop.

The Cat is correct. First round picks have no trade "value" (as in dollars) so, it makes the deal useless. Because DeShawn was a draft pick, he has no trade value, so Utah could only get a pick in return for him, because they are over.

Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong?
    Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

Also, you cannot sign and trade two free agents in the same deal. Your deal sign and trades not only two but THREE free agents, Tariq Abdul Wahad, Derek Anderson and Cuttino Mobley.

    A better deal could be:

    Jazzhole get:

Collier- they need a center right. He may not be able to stop Shack but he has the height and shooting prowess to draw him out just like Sabonis did. This will be excellent coz Dirty Malone can now operate inside the paint.

    Rocks get:

Stevenson: Less salary and an insurance if Mobley leaves. He's a project but I think has a better trade value than Collier. If Cat signs, then we ship him out for future picks or package him. I think Jazz does not need him coz they are going after Miller which I think won't happen

Jazz 1st pick next year. They are going down. Might not be in the playoffs especially if they don't get Miller because Mavs, Grizzlies, Clips, Rocks, Sacramento, Suns are all improved and young. I think Suns will be in the top three. Kings, if they land a serious sg will be 4. Jazz might be in playoffs but i think they will be seeded 5-7.

    What do u think?

No, Collier fits this team perfectly and is what this team needs. He is also a big man who can help NOW. I wouldn't trade him for a player who might help way down the road and a future pick.

    davo-I meant as in tradeswise.

For example even if "draft pick A" was in a 2 million bracket for where he was picked, and "Established Veteran B" made 2 million, they couldn't be traded for each other, unless the team" draft pick A" was picked by had 2 million in cap room.

When I said trade value, I meant for matching up salary purposes.

The Cat is money on this post. The Rockets will not sacrifice a guy who can contribute now for a possible contribute later espically if Mobley wants to jump ship. If Mobley wants to sign & trade the Rockets will be looking for a better fit player at the 2 or 3 with some NBA experience.

Regardless of how this trade would work out capwise, my heart could not take it to see Mobley in a Jazzholes uniform. To even suggest such a thing is just plain cruel. Let's never mention it again. [IMG]

If there was such a trade, the Jazz would get tariq not the clippers, and the nugs would get derek, not the jazz. At least that is what the rumors are, that the Jazz covet Tariq, and the Nugs and Derek want each other.

The Cat, sure Rudy wants to win now, but thats not going to happen, with or without Stevenson. We are going to have to wait a few years anyway in order to contend. So it won't really matter if we get Stevenson or not.

I don't want to see the Jazzholes get Cat OR Collier, and from what I've heard about Stevenson, I don't want him any more that I would want Leon Smith or J.R. Rider.
