    he's a good guy, and smart I'm sure...but as the article points out, he's been down this road a bunch of times already, unsuccessfully. one has to wonder, if he could go back in time, if he would have left the Rockets. he's probably survived on fee type business for the last 4 years, but i'm guessing he thought he'd be part owner of a team by now, and (likely through no fault of his own) it just hasn't happened yet.

    i have no clue about the pistons from a financial perspective but from what the average person sees, seems like 10 years ago would have been the time to buy.
