Scottie Pippen 3rd Best Small Forward of All Time

  1. Pippen is the 3rd best of all time

    8.6%
  2. Pippen should be ranked higher

    7.7%
  3. Pippen deserves to be on that list but not as high

    33.8%
  4. Pippen is overratted, quit on his teams and does not deserve to even be on the list!

    49.9%

I say no damn way. Check out this list that say's Quitten is the 3rd best of all time. He quit on 2 different teams and the only time he was given a chance to be the main man he quit on the Bulls during a play-off game. There is certainly no way in Hell he was better than Dr. J!

IMO Quitten should not even be on the list. And where in the hell is James Worthy?

BTW, maybe this should be in the NBA Forum but since it is about a former Rocket I thought it should go here. I would put both Rudy T and T-Mac on that list but I'm not biased! :p

There is also another Rocket on that list....Rick Barry who I think was light years better than Quitten. And unlike Quitten he was the best player on his team and was the main player on a championship team. While I think Larry Bird is the best a case could be made that Rick Barry was the best.

As much respect as I lost for Pippen after his stint with the Rockets, that article is about right. His game was very well rounded and could defend just about anybody on the court. I still hate his guts though.

Spippen is one of the most overrated players of all time. If he didn't play with MJ, he wouldn't be on the list.

Am I the only one who liked Pippen as a Rocket... Holy ****, in retrospect we had one of the greatest non-championship teams ever at one point. Barkley, Drexler, The Dream, and Pippen are all in the 50 greatest and they were Rockets!

Drex never played with Pip on the Rox. Barkley forced Clyde into an "early" retirement and that was the year before Pippen arrived.

One problem with Dr.J is most people didn't see him in his younger days in the ABA. Of course his 10 year body of work in the NBA was great, but if clowns like this guy would had observed his whole 15 year professional career, Dr.J would get even more respect. Most of us who actually saw him play and followed him with the Squires and Nets would rank him #1 or #2. Personally, I have no problem ranking Bird ahead of him.

I think it is a crime that people don't give more love to Dominique Wilkins. He is only 8 on this list. He was one of the most explosive scorers in the NBA and deserves to be in the 50 greatest players over Pippen.

pippen ahead of Dr. J?? dominique???

hell, i'm not sure i'd put pippen ahead of mark aguirre, who didn't even crack the honorable mention on this list.

pippen was very, very good. i'm not saying he sucks. i'm saying he's drastically overrated, though.

Whats the point of this poll?....Do you really think you might get an objective opinion about it here?

Personally....my bias about how he handled his time here aside....he deserves to be at that spot or no more than 1 or 2 down. He was an amazing player.

No way Pippen should be ahead of the Dr., questionable about Barry, Baylor and Nique as well. I'd say Pippen is as high as 5th at best.

Barkley forced him out or Clyde wasn't man enough to be the 3rd or 4th wheel?

If not for injuries, no doubt that Grant Hill would be top 5 on that list.
