I am of the opinion that for the next couple of years, much more shocking truths will start coming to the forefront about counterterrorism policy under the Bush administration, mostly due to the fact that you will start having a bunch of stories coming out from 'first persons'. This is one of those stories that is being told now by a former Gitmo guard
Enlisted men and much less a Private would know little to nothing about the Geneva Convention. They only know what the officer or NCO tells them. Worrying about such things is the Officers job.
I love these liberals rushing to publish info that makes our brave troops look bad. I guess they'd rather give the benefit of the doubt to the terrorists responsible for 9/11 than our brave troops
Always kills me when the guy who said his business office job made him too valuable to serve in the military tries to play the support the troops card.
I have never been accused of being a liberal. A mercenary, maybe, but this certainly is a first for me.
Now now. Bigtexxx does support the troops. He has a little yellow ribbon sticker on the back of his car.
This info makes Bush look bad. Since Bush took every single route available to assure that he would never be one of the troops, your statement is completely false. The troops are brave heroes who deserve all of the adulation we can give them. Bush and his cronies deserve all of the vitriol that they earned.
Not only that, the guy supports torture which we know from first hand accounts lead to more US troop deaths, and was ineffective at gathering useful intel, claims to support the troops. How is supporting something that is putting troops in needless danger supporting the troops?
Anyone care to explain to me how using military suicides to show the politcal point of a war being "bad" is different from using them to prove the political point of a president being "bad" To me it seems everyone here has shat on the military.
No one is ****ting on Private Neely. No one here has reproached him for whatever his involvement was in the abuse of prisoners. The reproach is for the leadership that has orchestrated the abuse.
any1 concerned that DOCTORS AND MEDICAL PEOPLE were in on the torture? what happened to medical ethics? these people should all be tried and prisoned (bush, cheney and all the guards). didnt germany case set the rule that no soldier will be immune just for following orders? U SHOULD ****TTT ON THE GUARD!
