There's too many threads about Tmac. I just want to change it up a little bit and focus on out PG situation. I think Bob Sura would be the perfect fit in Van Gundy's system. He is a 6'5 PG that can shoot the ball. He is very fluid on the court if you watch him play. He's not the greatest passer, but he'll get the job done. Isn't bad on defense either. I've only watched him a few times, but I like what I see and I don't get why Cleveland let him go. What do yall think?
Bob Sura is actually known for his D. He really cranked up the other aspects of his game in Atlanta though. He might make a nice third guard, but he's awfully injury prone. Like McGrady he has a troublesome back. By the way, wasn't it Golden State that sent him to Detroit for Uncle Cliffy? Who then sent him to Atlanta in the 'Sheed deal?
Uh, No. And couldn't you have put this in any of the T-Mac threads? Why start a new thread? And why Bob Sura? I know I'm sounding like a dick, but man, someone had to tell you.
The Tmac threads all have about 100 replies each. I don't think many people want to read scroll through all that.
i wouldnt call him garbage. Didnt he have back to back triple doulbes. I bet someone is gonna say numbers on a garbage team mean nothing blah blah.
Most of yall probably have never even seen him play. When he was in Cleveland, he played very well. Same as when he was in Golden State. People need to give him a lot more credit.
Get T-Mac and Bobby Sura. I think Sura is a poor man’s Steve Francis (which is a good thing). The guy is a super aggressive point guard that plays with a ton of heart and energy.
Played with Sammy, IIRC, at FSU. Sura was always a good combo guard, but too often hurt. Now, can we get back to our irrational attention to TMac?
If you don't like a thread... don't respond to it. I'm sounding like a dick, but man, someone had to tell you.
Sura couldn't do jack on the Pistons (a winning team). He was a severe disappointment to them and they were looking to move him from training camp on. He looked great in Atlanta where winning wasn't even an option. For cheap? Sure. For what it's going to cost? No way. The Rockets are better off finding guys that can play well when it matters.
Sura for half the MLE as a backup PG wouldnt be a bad option. However I am not sure how well he would play in a JVG system?
Are you sure he played for the Pistons? I thought it was only Cleveland, Golden State, and Atlanta...maybe I'm wrong. Okay if we can get Sura for half of the MLE would yall do it? How bout McDyess for the other half?
The only reason he got the second tripple double was b/c he missed a shot on his OWN basket to get a rebound for that and I believe the NBA ruled that the rebound didn't count as he missed on his basket. He's a loser.
