I've heard of this, but I think it's stupid. Absolutely Stupid. Why can't we just do this from our house? It's more work to drive to the place and have them do it for you.

I've heard of this place for years; it's brilliant marketing and entrepreneurship. It's an amazingly simple idea that no one else capitalized on.

Even if it is over-glorifying cereal, it will definitely create buzz and attention for the sole fact that...it's a cereal restaurant.

Not trying to be rude, but you sound like you've got your heart set on running your own sub shop with a specialty dessert sandwich. Clearly you feel it's an awesome idea, but a lot of people won't see it that way and may feel it, too, is absolutely stupid, maybe even moreso than...cereal.

People will drive to get cereal just as people will drive to the gym only to walk around an indoor track -- both could be done from your home, but the fact that they are doing something new and different is a major factor.

After reading on the site, I guess I'll withdraw my statement. I thought it was just cereal with fruit on it. I didn't know there were other things, like cereal smoothies, etc.

Also, it IS good marketing, as I've heard about these places a couple times over now.

I always thought it would be a GREAT idea to bottle and sell "cereal milk." I've thought about this for like 5 years. You just basically flavor milk to what it tastes like after you've had a bowl of cereal in it. Fruit Lops milk, Lucky Charms milk, etc. It looks like this store might beat me to it. :p

LOL, interesting idea. The other day in the dining hall I mixed milk with Powerade fruit punch...and drank some of it.

It was like...drinking something high in calcium and electrolytes. Not bad, but probably something an athlete wouldn't want, haha.

Except when I work out at home there aren't hot, young babes wearing tight clothing looking to be seen.

As a customer, I think it's stupid. You practically pay for the price of a box from the store for one serving. But of course that means $$$ from a business standpoint. I saw this on food network and they work great next to college campuses.

There are so many different types of cereal that are excellent, I can't imagine ever going to a restaurant just so I can try something new and different. In my opinion, you will never improve on Cinnamin Toast Crunch, Life, Golden Grahamns or Lucky Charms. So I'll just stick to those.

The "Why can't we just do this from our house?" argument gave me a chuckle. I hear COFFEE SHOPS are going to be big; there is this big chain that has a green logo... but you CAN do that at home...

Really? It's not much harder than making a bowl of cereal.

I've read about the cereal restaurant thing before, as mentioned earlier their target market is college kids. Brilliant idea.

WTF? Don't coffee machines/brewers come with instructions? I know I am from Mexico, but I can read English and know how to read a manual. C'mon, lazy people (not you, AntiSonic, everyone in general)... do you sh*t at home and save everyone money...

ANYONE could brew coffee at home. ANYONE can make Mocha f*ck*n*ccino. ANYONE can make their own bowl of cereal. Baloney... wait, not everyone can do baloney at home...

I'd much rather have a latte from a coffee shop that doesn't taste like ass which tended to be the flavor of the ones I tried to make at home. Not the good ass either.

Now, my normal coffee is just fine, thank you.
