    Kyle Korver...

I believe he will be a restricted free agent this season and I think he would be the perfect complement to Yao, Sura and TMac...He is the best young shooter in the league and easily among the top 3 3-point shooters this year (considering volume of shots and percentage)...

This year he is averaging 11.6 ppg while shooting 39% from 3 (173-436)...thats almost 40% while shooting the second most attempts from 3...and hes not just one dimensional...hes also averaging 4.4 rebounds a game, 2.2 assists and 1.31 steals a game...just watch a Sixers game and see how much attention the defense gives him, and then imagine him in a Rockets uni with TMac and Yao drawing attention...he has arguably the quickest release in the league...this would also make Wesley expendable if we want to pursue a PF...

    what do yall think?

If he is restricted, then there is no way in HELL the Sixers don't resign him.

He's on my fantasty team so you don't have to sell him to me, the guy can flat out shoot. I picked him to win the the 3 point shootout- (too bad Q shot like 13 in a row). :D

I have watched almost all the phily home games. KK is impressive but I tell you andre iguadala is the real deal. KK's biggest problem is his defense. He is not fast enough to keep up with other SF/FG sometimes. But he can give good hustle and can play physical. If it is possible to get him without giving sura/mj/wesley/jb/padget/bowen (not so many choices left, huh?), I 'll go for it.

Is phily interested in spoon? we can put in baker if they are serious...

Um...the trade deadline is kind of over. We'll have to sign him as a free agent in the offseason if we plan to get him.

If Korver is indeed restricted, Philadelphia's not going to let him go. They have a pretty solid team now.

    C.e.no., el.no, cab.no, nonka!

Korver is good but he is streaky. We already have enough of them. For what it is worth, it looks like we can only offer MLE anyway and I am sure Korver and his agents will be seeking for $7-$8M per year average.

unless its a sign-and-trade...before, philly wanted to build around korver and iverson, but with webber, they might be looking for different help...philly might be interested in expiring contracts, such as Wesley's or Bakers...they also might get a good draft pick since they arent playing as well as everyone expected, which means they could draft an athletic 3 like Hakim Warrick to complement the post passing of Webber and penetration of Iverson...Korver fits in with Iverson's penetration but Webber's talent to find cutters and slashers does not necessarily fit Korver...plus the Sixers already have Willie Green and John Salmons who still have potential, so they just might, MAYBE, let Korver go if so be it...

Seems to me like a slightly superior version of Boki. I'll pass.

The Rockets are set at the PG/SG/SF positions for the next couple of year anyway. They have a solid rotation of T-Mac, Barry, Wesley, James, and Sura. I don't see any additions unless it's for a tall backup SF to match up against bigger lineups.

I totaly agree shooter. This team has only another season together before another revamping. We might as well start getting younger. HAve him learn from the other veterans.

Kyle is a 6'7 SF who can spead the defense with his 3pt shot. Remember he has to "share" the ball with Iverson.

There really is no reason to go younger. Guys like Barry, Wesley, Sura, and Mike James are easily replacable. And it seems like JVG has a good eye for picking ones that fits the team. The only "young" player the Rockets would love to add is a athletic rebounding PF. Or an overpaid superstar some other team wishes to unload for our expiring contracts.

The Rox first priority will be at PF. SAR had a 25/10 night against the Griz last night, I hope we go after him, don't know if he will come for the MLE but he would be a nice piece to have.

It is going to be an interesting summer for Philly. They have a HUGE payroll. I think they are in the Top 5 in the NBA in payroll at around 70M or so.

Then you add on the fact that Dalembert and Korver are RFAs. They will BOTH get some serious coin this summer. Atlanta will go after Dalembert hard. Expect him to get a contrat offer in the range of 10M per season. That's the market for young big men.

Korver will be interesting. What teams UNDER the cap can offer Korver a big deal? I am sure the 76ers would MATCH any MLE offer to Korver. On the open market I bet Korver is worth around 6-7M per season, something similar to what Stephen Jackson got last year from Indiana. But I am not sure any team UNDER the cap will pay Korver that money. My guess is that Korver gets locked up by the 76ers. Dalembert is a differnet story though.

I'd much rather go after Joe Johnson than Korver if we're talkng about young players that can shoot. Granted, he's a much better player and Phoenix would be insane to let him walk. He's the unsung hero of that Phoenix team.

I can't see him walking or coming here, none the less, but it's certainly worth a look.

I believe the 76ers wil lresign him. Hei s a part of their core for rebuilding..young guy.

He'd be good with Tmac..cuz he's tall and well sorta reminds me of Keith Van Horn.

But we're not gonna get him.

I want that guy..Jason Kapono...well if he plays defense.

Redd would be wow ultimate like crazy.

No way we can get Ray Allen without giving up a lot.

Yao and Tmac are awesome and we have a great group of complementary guys with good roles. I think we could add a guy at the 4..Baker Badiane Ewing lol..draft or free agency. And we could add another guard/forward to play with our great guys. I really like the Sura/James combo..Wesley/Barry..and Tmac/Bowen/Padgett.

I wouldn't mind Kapono. He was my favorite college player, and he'd probably ask for less than the MLE.

    He's a nice shooter.

Kapono hardly gets consistent PT on the Bobcats because of his lack of defense, so I doubt he'd be a Van Gundy favorite...Korver atleast hustles, scrabs for loose balls and rebounds fairly well...
