I think it all comes down to fundamentals. If we can focus on scoring more points than the warriors next game, then we will have a good chance.
yes he gets uncomfortable when hes pressured and played physical problem though is the refs will call ticky tack fouls if someone touches him. I expect McHale to try to trap him in the backcourt a lot in game 3
I'm disappointed he didn't shoot a lot more free throws. There were a couple of plays where he got past his man into the lane for a layup and we conceded the shot to avoid the and-1. I think the psychological edge you gain from laying him out is worth picking up a foul. We don't play him physical enough.
This is why Beverley is missed so much in this series. He plays full court pressure. I think we need to do what we did last series against cp3 and that's terry meeting him 94ft away and staying on him the entire dribble. Force someone else to create. Now even more importantly you have to stay on him off ball because he moves so well without the ball off screens. You have to rotate correctly (im looking at you pigs, you choose to guard iggy over Stephen? Really? ). Anytime they hand it off to him or pass it to him behind the arc bring help and force it out of his hand. When he passed out everyone has to hustle and rotate. The few times I seen this happen I seen bad shot selection by green and the likes.
too many other good shooters / scorers on the team---thompson, barnes and green from the starting lineup
We've made him get rid of the ball several times. The problem is keeping up with him as he runs around screens.
This. He is as good off the ball as he is with the ball. I don't know why but we lost him several times after he gave up the ball.
All they have to do is stop losing him. They keep floating away and sagging off of of him, which creates enough space for a big to step in and set a pick for them to swing the ball back to an open Curry. His defender has to ignore everyone else and just watch Curry. Pick him up early in transition.
