So a buddy of mine here at work offered me a free ticket to last night's Mavericks game against Toronto. They were in the nosebleed section, what the heck, they were free. The new American Airlines Center is really cool, but that's not the point of this post. Just as the lights dimmed at half-time, I commented to my friend, "Is there anything more spare than an NBA half-time show?" And then our "entertainment" made its way onto the court. Oh yeah, it was the guy with the four dummies connected to him by rods doing a Jackson 5 dance routine. Man, the only reason this guy isn't a street performer is his gear would take up too much of the sidewalk. What are some other lame half-time shows you've seen at NBA games? I was at a Rockets game last year that had some dancing couple that kept changing costumes in the middle of the court. These acts would have gotten booted of the Gong Show for sure.
