Thanks for the reminder! I just cancelled my subscription. According to the site, they will charge you for next season on April 22, which is ridiculous...

 

uhh, where do you go to cancel?
i always just went to the LPBB page then clicked the launch button. but i cant click anything on that page now.

Thanks for reminding me about this. I'm going to wait and see if Uverse ever gets League Pass before subscribing to the broadband version again.

 

huh? you do this even if you registered through your cable company? or is this just if you registered for league pass online/broadband?

EDIT: Dah...nevermind...the title clearly says broadband.

In the "My Subscriptions" section. "The next billing cycle is april 22,etc..."

In the "Your Subscriptions" section, it doesn't mention anything about a billing cycle. Maybe it's because I was on the installment plan.

IMO, there is no way you will be charged for NEXT season on April 22nd. That is way too early.

 

if you click cancel subscription, the last screen before you confirm to cancel indeed says April 22 as the next billing date.

i think it is just a way to lock in the $79.95 subscription price.

 

I get "server error" when I try to cancel.

 

Chase online does this to me too after 9PM when it's close to due date. One time, I woke up the next day and remembered to pay (due date) at 3:58PM and their server was up, but it slapped me with the unrecognized computer message.

I was late by 2 minutes after phone confirmation. I called them and they would not remove it.

My advice is you should save every companies phone # in a word file with the time they close. Their servers seem to suck when potential to make more money is at its peak.

 

Is this service bad? I don't live in Houston so I hardly catch Rockets games. I didn't bother buying it this year since I figured the Rockets would be tough to watch. I have MLBtv but I am dropping it after this month since there is way too many blackout restrictions is it the same for NBA League Pass?

 

This season wasn't so bad since we didn't have many nationally televised games. The only thing that bugs me is that I usually watch the games right after they have been played because of work and it also allows me to skip thru all the commercials. It still shows the finals scores so I have to manually hide the scores with my hand so I can push the replay button to avoid knowing the score. The time line is also bugged, it won't move forward accurately so you have to mess around with it when fast forwarding. Overall the quality is about what you get on youtube @ 480p. Worth the $80 for 70+ rockets game and avoiding low quality athe/user streamed links.

 

Does this only apply to Full season subscription? I only bought the last quarter of the season with access to select teams and I dont see any thing on my page.

 

Seriously...the cancel link always leads to a "server error".

 

Just hoping it only applies to LPBB. I guess if you got it as a bonus through cable that this isn't an issue?

I hope that is the case, as I'd prefer random $150+ bills didn't magically appear unless I ask for them deliberately.
