Raja obviously got hit. The angle that everyone else has been looking at doesn't show the initial contact, which is obstructed by Kobe's shoulder. There's really no denying that there was a legitimate elbow when you look at it from this angle. Just thought some people might find this interesting. I don't like Kobe but I too had pretty much convinced myself that Raja faked it all. Not the case afterall.
Seem's like you're taking the Kobe hating to the next level. I don't think anybody said Raja faked contact.
Wow...I hate him so much that I called him the best player in the league. And TONS of people have been saying that Raja faked contact on that play. I'm not talking exclusively about this forum, either. Other basketball message boards do exist, you know. What's up with everyone getting so damn sensitive about negative opinions toward Kobe anyway? You guys act like he's your mom or something, and in case you didn't notice, I purposefully put "For those who care" in the thread title. If you don't care, don't post. Seems simple enough to me.
It's the Nba, if you're not manly enough to take a little contact, then dont play the game. and Why does Clutch always talk about Kobe in a sexual way?
I was of the opinion that Raja took some acting classes...until I saw Leandro Barbosa guarding Kobe the next game and his face got busted up from another "inadvertent" elbow
Any man knows better then to sneak up behind another man. It just isn't done without repercussions. You sneak up behind my @ss and you will get hurt. I don't play find the emergency exit
nice angle This is the key shot. Watch it again. Raja going back to his left. Hit from the front and right. Totally inconsistent with the shot later in the game. Again - ... back and two the left. .. back and two the left... back and two the left... back and to the left... back and to the left.
I think there have been some Laker's fans saying Bell faked getting hit. The Laker fans as a whole are delusional. Anyway the elbow was not on purpose, and certainly not severe enough to warrant Bell's actions. Further proof that Bell is a big baby who can't take it.
It was inadvertent like Malone's knees were inadvertent and Deke's and Malone's elbows were inadvertent. It is movement that they have established as normal by doing it so many times. Raja was just too stupid and blatent in his retaliation. He should have retaliated with the ball in his hands posting up on Kobe and then letting an elbow fly right to the chops and then shake his head like Kobe was flopping. It's the game within the game. If they don't call it one way, pull the same move the other way and keep escalating the contact until they have to do something about it.
