...about anything. In Lady_Di's engagement thread we decided that we could try this out. Talk about stuff/ask advice/gush about girl stuff. I want to know your thoughts on the "inverted bob" haircut. It seems to be popular right now. Do you like this haircut? Like any styles, I think some people look good, some not so much. I have a round-ish face so I loathe the thought of having short hair. I had short hair when I was 13 and it just made me look like one of those stumpy, fat kids. HOWEVER, I like the thought of not having to spend much time on my hair in the morning, and also being able to feel cool in the summertime. So...would a long hair in the front, short hair in the back haircut look weird? Something like this in the back (boy I wish I had thin hair like that), and past-shoulder length in the front? It would be a pretty dramatic change in length from front to back, but I'm thinking at that length I might still be able to pull it back into a ponytail when I work out. Have any of y'all seen that kind of cut? I can't find any good pictures. I don't want to look creepy. ------------------------ Also, Lady_Di, have you chosen/targeted a date yet for your wedding? I probably won't be tying the knot til Summer of '10. Not too early to start thinking about things though...hehe...
Get the hell out of our thread! Back to the subject - I think it's fantastic. I like the idea of it, though I probably couldn't pull it off because I have really thin hair that's wavy - so I'd have to actually style my hair in the morning. And that's NOT my style. I'm a lazy ass in the morning! Have you talked to your stylist? She should give you her honest opinion about whether it's right for you/your body type/facial structure.
i hate that haircut. girls look better with long hair. this doo looks something like an emo manerixic. i think makuley caulkin had it at one time.
That's my problem too. Short hair or long hair, my hair always looks bad because I just can't find the motivation to spend time on it. I have a CHI iron, which is helpful for special occasions, but it literally takes me 30-40 minutes just to straighten it because it's so thick (and wavy). That's why I think that if I cut it too short it will just poof up like an afro. Thanks for the advice, and I'm def. going to ask a professional about it. Maybe they will have something up their sleeve that I haven't thought of.
If your hair is thick, that cut probably isn't for you. I have really thin hair and have just given up and wear it long. It ends up being in a ponytail or braided most of the time. Love the idea for the tread. Now we can see how many female posters are REALLY on the board. Because, it you post here, you must be female.
I have that hair style and it's great! I can email you guys pictures... Even though, it's short, it STILL takes time to fix it. I use CHI to straighten it out...it takes me 20 minutes to do it. The best thing to do is to ask your hairstylist and see if it will be good on you. FB, no, we haven't decided yet but we think it could be in 2009 or 2010 as well...we need to save money for a beach wedding (Hawaii, Mexico or Puerto Rico)/large reception here in Houston. Where do you want to get married?
What kind of cut is good for thick hair? I've told so many stylists, "Feel free to just go crazy and really try to thin it out!" but it never really feels much thinner. Sometimes I just want to chop it all off because it annoys me so much.
two of the most over rated women in hollywood. katie holmes went from darling girl next door, to pole skank when she took on this haircut.
I'd like to get married in a church, a pretty, traditional-looking, maybe Catholic one, but I'm not Catholic. My church is big and spread-out and modern looking, and I don't know if it would feel the same. I'm trying to aim for a cheap wedding/reception. My parents will give me a $10,000 budget and I hope to get a wedding and a honeymoon with that. A beach wedding would be sooooo awesome. But I have a lot of poor relatives that probably wouldn't be able to make it out. I'd like to go somewhere tropical for my honeymoon though. Those Sandals packages look like a nice deal, might be kind of cliche though...
I think that cut would look great with your face structure, but if you have thick, wavy hair, you'll have to work with it to get the look right. The three girls I know that have that style all have straight, thin hair and it looks great on them.
