    Excerpt from the Houston Chronicle

...Francis and Mobley each came from 1-of-6 starts to go 5-of-8 and 3-of-4 shots respectively. Francis had 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Mobley set up or scored 16 of the Rockets' last 19 points.

"It shows," Mobley said of the turnaround, "we're starting to learn the game."

One again Cuttino shows he is our fourth quarter man. He made good decisions tonight and like I have always iterated good things are gonna happen when the ball is in his hands at the end of the game.

Sure he wont be perfect but I like the ball in his hands during crunch time. It was a great team effort last night and Stevie brought it on in the second half and Bull was outstanding.

Also another double digit scoring night for the DREAM.

    that's right.

    patience pays...

Rudy needs to get Mobley into the middle where he can pass. It is hard to pass when you are ISO'd on the wing. SO, with a pick he passed for 4 crunch time assists, that were set up because he first nailed 2 stockton-esque 15 footers at the free throw line.

Let's not make this an "I told you so." Let's bask in the fact the whole team and the coach is helping make Mobley a fierce weapon. It takes team coordination to make Mobley a weapon.

This high pick-n-roll last night won't always work, and we will see the 2 Shakes still, but can we all acknowledge that Rudy proved he has a new weapon.

the only concern i have from last night...

is that i noticed the forwards were releasing a little quickly off the screen. that or the guard wasn't allowing the forward to set the screen. there were a few times in the fourth quarter where the refs could have called an offensive foul on the forward on that high screen & roll.

but hey, maybe they're making up for the plethora of kenny thomas phantom calls i've seen since he entered the nba!

Mobley and Francis ...are not the two best players on the team.

I grudgingly admit: when there's :20 left and we're at halfcourt, I want it to go to Cuttino. I want Steve or Mooch to have it for the first :10-15, tho...

And then Cuttino can have it. That ought to give him enough time to get into position... If he can get open, then it should go to him. And if not, then I want Steve to take it to the hole - maybe the surest bet all around.
