"I'm telling you for the Last Time" by Jerry Sienfeld is on google video. You can watch the entire show and it's also available for download. I liked his show MUCH better than his standup, but it's worth watching/listening to. Enjoy...
No it isn't........ I liked Jerry. Even when he did "Benson." But his stand-up is attrocious comparitively to other comedians. Bottom line: Jerry's comedic skills were tailor-made for TV. Even Larry David knew that. There's a reason why David got his own new show, amd Jerry went back to stand-up. Also, to any "Seinfeld" fan": Once Larry David left the show got stale... No?+
I don't know what you're saying. You say Jerry was tailor-made for TV, then you say it's obvious why he didn't go back to TV. What do you mean? I'm not sure when Larry David left, but I enjoy all seasons of Seinfeld almost equally, mainly because of the actors (Kramer in particular was on fire at the end). The last season with Kruger is hilarious.
Definitely my favorite television show ever, but I'm not too big a fan of Jerry Seinfeld. The other characters were what made that show epic - in my humble opinion, Jerry himself was by far the least funniest of the quintet and the worst actor.
The Larry David shows were great, but Seinfeld actually got better as the seasons went on. Each season was better than the previous one IMO.
Well it really depends on the type of humor you enjoy. One of my best friends in high school had a sense of humor very similar to Jerry Seinfeld's. He could always pick out random details about people that no one else could pick up on and then crack a joke. I've always liked that type of humor which is why I like Seinfeld's standup. That being said, Seinfeld worked because the character personalities meshed so well. And I dont remember where this was, but they did a poll years ago on what your favorite character was. Kramer won, which isnt a shock, but the poll was actually fairly close. People relate to characters differently, which is why the show was so great. It communicated to pretty much everyone because one of those 4 clowns would make you laugh.
Notice the time I made the post. I don't make any sense at that hour. i think my point was that Jerry is a great presenter of comeidic material. But Larry was the brains behind it.
The show, was one of the only shows I can watch over and over and over again on tv. I love how it's always on FOX or TBS around 5pm. I always watching it while preparing dinner.
jerry was by far the worst actor on the show but he wasn't an actor. i think y'all are underestimating his contributions to the writing of most if not all of the episodes. there's no seinfeld without jerry and it's not just because of his name.
