I know this channel has been discussed at length in various threads, but just about everything this nut (Hannity) says is ridiculous.

I tend to vote Republican. I have not watched Fox News in about 4 years. Even then, all I watched was Neil Cavuto.

I sometimes lean right, depending on the issue. I only watch the actual newscasts on Fox and O'Reilly. I never watch Hannity.

You should also ask if they believe that Fox news tries to be objective. There is nothing wrong with watching it just to see what stupid things they are saying this time.

it baffles me when people compare Fox with MSNBC. Yes, they're "talk show hosts" are on opposite ends of the political spectrum, but they are completely different type of channels. Fox proudly supports everything on the neo-con agenda, not only in their "opinion shows", but also on their news segments (ie: when the anchor presents the news without offering an opinion). This is the reason why I cannot consider Fox news a "news" channel, but rather a poor excuse for a journalism organization. MSNBC tends to present news fairly bias-free during the "news reporting" segments.

Which brings us to the opinion-based shows. Hannity/O'Reilly/Beck vs. Olbermann/Maddow. Hannity, O'Reilly, and Beck are absolutely ridiculous. They generally tend to offer absolutely no evidence to back up their opinions, which, by the way, they feel very strongly about. Olbermann and Maddow, on the other hand, present plenty of legitimate evidence (research, data, etc...) and provide relevant stories to create the necessary context on which they base their opinions. I disagree with a lot of their liberal views, but I cannot deny that they use a sound process in presenting their thoughts. I disagree, but I don't doubt their methods, just their conclusions.

Hannity, O'Reilly, and Beck, on the other hand, are complete jokers who disgrace journalism. O'Reilly is the best of the bunch, considering that he's an intelligent guy who at least tries to articulate a coherent argument. Hannity and Beck are just dumb, really really dumb, and when some one tries to argue with them, they "win" by going ape$h!t, throwing a hissy fit, and screaming over the other guy until he/she quits. Or, if all else fails, dismiss him/her as un-American/some other baseless insult. That's how it goes.

Where did I compare the two? I stated a fact not a comparison. I also don't watch Grey's Anatomy or The big Bang Theory.

I try to watch as little of Fox News as I can. I've been able to filter most of what I see on regular news channels to edit out the biases(and they are much less than Fox News would have you believe).

I never watch Fox News. When I watch news, it is generally CNN. Though I get most of my news via the internet(Yahoo, CNN, and my local news media).

Yes, I watch it and tend to agree with a lot of the view points. Guess I'm in the minority.
