Academy National Invitational presented by Nike

I gotta give props where props are due.

I got an email from a close friend of mine who is the head basketball coach at Texas City High School. His team has been invited to play in this event. In his own words, he says:

"It has 8 national teams & 8 Texas teams. Four of the top 10 high school teams in the nation will be there. Eight projected first round NBA picks will be there. All 29 NBA teams & 81 Div. I Colleges have already booked their rooms for their scouts. Tickets will sell out for sure. "

My buddy Rick has won over 60 games the last two years. He was 33-3 last year, losing to Beaumont Ozen by 12 to knock his team out of the playoffs. So far this year he is 9-0. Here's a link to the coverage of his team for this tourney:

    Go Rick! GO STINGS!!!!!

    Two questions:

    1) Where is this at in Houston? nm. I just saw Campbell Center.

    2) Do the Texas schools get to play the National schools?

Campell Center in Houston. Only 4700 seats, $10 per day.

No, it'll be two separate brackets.

One thing my friend said is that if you buy a ticket to see a team, you can go back outside after you've seen the game you want and resell your ticket to someone else. So maybe you can get seats that way if it sells out quickly.
