For an abysmal shooting team, we did pretty great!

Seeing these semi finals with so many players able to knock down shots and how much we relied on offensive rebounds and how many guys on other teams can at least make open one ones, hit lay-ups, floaters or just easy shots that neither FVV, Green, Sengun make on a regular for various reasons - it was mainly Amen who did that - and how hard it was for us to get a bucket, we should be happy we made it this far.

This does mean not though that unless our young guys make big strides in the upcoming year, we cannot stand pat. We cannot just pay FVV, start both him and Brooks, play Adams as much as we did who cannot hit anything outside of a close lay-up or dunk. We need shooters. It’s insane to think about that our main skill lacking is shooting when that’s the purpose of the sport, so it’s really sad watching other teams right now who can shoot, but I am proud of our non-shooters.

Mainly Amen to come out of this looking like he can be star if he only develops a more consistent jump shot. And he’s already improved this year. Give Jabari more shots in the spots he likes and Tari to shake off some of the rust he had this year with the comeback and his father’s death and let’s roll. Sengun can work on a lot too, Green has to improve all round but a more consistent shot would be great too. Let’s see.

The Wolves/Warriors series will be a good comparison for just how much the Rockets offense is on the Warriors defense, and how much of it is just the team is more of a "works in the regular season, not in the playoffs" type of offense.

We wouldn't have been abysmal if our star shooting guard didn't shoot sub 20% from the three point line. Don't even get me started on his field goal percentage. Jalen Green making Buddy Hield and Brandon Podz look like Scottie Pippen and Ron Harper is going to give me nightmares for a while. Not attacking Buddy Hield off the dribble should be a criminal offense. Jalen better not show his face around Houston.

Dillon also played poorly in game 6/7 and I think Ime should have had a shorter leash for Dillon in game 7. The problem is that Jabari was getting cooked by Steph and Tari makes a lot of boneheaded mistakes. Missing those two free throws and turning the ball over right after when he couldn't catch it killed all of our momentum.

I mean like...what's going to happen if he does? Are you going to shoot him or something?

I am absolutely in agreement with you that he was BAD this series, by the way. I just don't understand some of the rhetoric. It's not that serious. It's never that serious.

This the mentality that’s kept us from winning for 30 years now. 30 years without a championship and we talking it’s not that serious when our star player is absolute ass in 6 out of 7 games.

Except we're not on the court.

Fans being "serious" or "unserious" can't help the team in any way shape or form.

And I consider myself quite a hardcore fan of the Rockets--but I'm not going to pretend that how I feel is going to affect the team.

But it's not that important, in the grand scheme of things. We both want the Rockets to do well. We both think Jalen far underperformed. So debating the seriousness of it all is probably pretty funny.

Defense & rebounding were fantastic ...... half court offense 22nd in the league, 4th Quarter offense 23rd in the league.

Pretty safe to say "I know what we need to do."
