I know every player has his critics, but Horry stepped up big last night.

Did anyone catch his +/- statistic??? Doug Collins was praising Horry and saying he should be in the game in cruch time as opposed to having AC in there. The LAKERS ARE A +41 POINTS WHEN HORRY IS IN THE GAME!!!

Sure, he may not be a scoring machine for them, but obviously he has a very positive impact on that team when he is on the floor.

I never said that I hated Horry just doubted his heart and determination. If a guy has his kind of ability and never works on his game to get better, what does that tell you? You cannot just get by with natural ability alone.

At the price he would cost, we need a player who will play every game not just show up occasionally in a playoff game. I am sure alot of players would have a +41 point ratio compared to AC Green who is in the twilght of his career, especially with Shaq and Kobe.

If he came back at a dimished salary, I would have no problem but he wants superstar money for bargin-basement production.

As for his positive impact...why wasn't he an impact at Phoenix? I am sure the Suns did not have a +41 ratio when he played for them.

I agree he shows up for some big games but we need someone who will show up every night so we can get to the big game.

Good points Dennis2112. I was merely expanding on another Horry thread where some folks were saying he sucked. I think Horry has improved his game a lot. The problem is where he plays. He is not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or even the fourth option on that team. I am not saying he should be, but he is completely underutilized in LA. Suit him up for another team than can use his services at a higher frequency and see what he can do.

As for his stint in Phoenix...I think his attitude and his conflict with Ainge caused him problems there. Hence the reason he was sent away shortly thereafter.
