For all those who wish to criticize Moochie please first admit that you are stupid.

    Yes, it would make reading your post much easier if you started off by saying something like “First of all I just want to admit that compared to Moochie, basketball skill wise, I am an idiot and now I wish to tell you why he sucks”. See then I could say well at least this poster knows he is not qualified to assess Moochie’s basketball skills but he still wants to voice his opinion. Because if for one minute you think you can play better as a point guard in the NBA than a man who has played college ball, CBA and NBA for many years and taken basketball as his profession then you are a naïve idiot and your post isn’t worth reading.

    I understand why you might think you are qualified to assess Moochie's basketball skills. You see that the Rockets' offense is always slowed down when Moochie is at the court, even the fastest player Francis aside with him, Moochie sucks... You read the boxscore and see that Moochie's TO number seldom gets beat by his assist number, and you think Moochie sucks… You see Jason Kidd runs the fastbreak with grace and ease and you say to yourself, Moochie sucks… You see Moochie sitting on the bench making 4 million this year and you say to yourself, he sucks… You get pissed because Moochie gets abused by ANY NBA backup PG during second quarters and you SCREAM OUT Moochie SUCKS!

    So while to you this is undeniable proof that Moochie indeed sucks, I submit to you that you are using inadequate criteria for assessing any basketball skills and even given adequate criteria you are not knowledgeable enough to evaluate any NBA player’s ability with any degree of competency. Of course you are entitled to your opinion which is what this board is for so with that I will also state and opinion of other people who may be more qualified than you to give a true barometer of Moochie’s abilities.

    Almost every player in the team loves him. Players like YaoMing have said Moochie is their best friend. Rudy always trusts Moochie because he gave Steve plenty of rest time during the game. USATODAY said Moochie Norris is among the league's most fashionable players. All sports said Rockets used Norris as a reserve guard who provided a boost of energy with his quickness. Moochie has gone through a tough career in CBA and NBA but he never gave up and finally earned his spot at Rockets. He has increased his field goal percentage and rebounding in each of his four NBA seasons. He even finished third in 2000 CBA MVP voting with the Fort Wayne Fury.

    I personally believe Moochie is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA period. Of course that is just my opinion. But I can assure if Moochie gets canned today, tomorrow there will be a line of GM’s standing outside his door begging for his services and why is that? It’s because they are equipped to Judge coaches ability and the overwhelming consensus is Moochie is more than just an adequate NBA backup point guard.

    Because he would be FREE. Rox would pay all but the minimum. If Mooch were making the minimum, fine, but he's not.

    Thank you for pointing out the ridiculous nature of the first post of the other thread. If the reasoning behind not firing a coach is because he knows more basketball or whatever than the fans, then these would be life time positions. So what, he knows more basketball than me. He also gets paid a ridiculous amount of money to know more basketball than me.

    What? So you're saying that criticism should not be allowed unless you have first-hand knowledge? Okay, then I expect no one to ever criticize anything on the Rockets, ever. Oh, and if you ever feel like criticizing a business or government, then make sure you claim to be an idiot first, as obviously, you're not the CEO or President. :confused:

    Please tell me this is satire.

    First of all I just want to admit that compared to Moochie, basketball skill wise, I am an idiot. If I were 25yrs old again and playing Point Guard for the Rockets, I'd probably back up my dribble away from Payton much more and have almost no ability to see Yao Ming, despite him being 7'6.

    That said, Moochie sucks.

    You see how easy it is to just go ahead and admit it. It's actually quite ironic that the mocking of Old Man Rock is pointing out that the players do indeed suck.

    That's not really Old Man Rock's point. His point is if you think Rudy sucks, fine, but don't try to say that you know the failings and abilities of the Rockets player more than he does and what they can and can't do, or did or didn't do. Don't say that because Team X is doing something, Rudy must be dumb for not being able to get Moochie to do it....hence, the irony of mocking Old Man Rock with a Moochie thread.

    The best example of this is several people calling Rudy an idiot for not playing Tito Maddox early, to lower Moochie and Mobes minutes for sucking. Well, ummm, Maddox was proven to be a cancerous thug according to Doc Rocket.

    See, we didn't know, so people should have started the Rudy sucks re: Maddox's PT, by saying

    "I admit that I am completely ignorant regarding Tito Maddox's lack of PT, but I still think Rudy sucks for playing Mobley and Moochie too many minutes."

    That's how you do it.

    Moochie is one of the poorest players in the NBA! Considering how much money he is being paid he shouldn't be so lazy. He is a blight on the Rockets team and should be moved somewhere, at the first chance of doing so!

    LOL.. I admit I am stupid compared to Moochie basketball talent wise but the problem is most of the other poiint guards in the league aren't.

    I don't care if I'm stupid. But Moochie sucks.

    That said, comparing the assessment of player performance with the assessment of coach performance is the one single fallacy of the coach-bashers.

    Don't fault Moochie for his contract (in relation to his below par play).

    His contract is between TWO parties. Someone agreed to pay him and he obliged.

    i honestly feel at the offensive end i could run a better point then moochie...at the defensive end is another story.
