Ramadan Mubarak to my fellow muslim rocket fans! Man, I'm always pumped for Ramadan cuz it makes me work under sort of a limit. When ramdan's over, it's like I'm free. It really helps in Basketball and sports stuff.

Wow! Cool to see so many Muslims here. That's great! I don't know as much as would care to about the Islamic faith. I am particularly fascinated by Sufis, but any suggestions on web links, books, etc. on Islam would be appreciated.

I guess I can't attempt to convert this year since I've already eaten.

    Next year I suppose.

    Hey Jeff check out http://www.seekasia.com/religion/islam1.htm
It has thousands of links categorized, and is probably the best source to look for Islamic info. If that isn't enough, you can always check out www.islam.com or www.islamiccity.com Those are my picks for the best sites on the net for info on the Islamic faith.

theres millions of websites on islam!
a good place for nonmuslims to learn about islam is http://www.beconvinced.com
www.sultan.org also has a lot of good information about islam for nonmuslims
http://www.islam101.com/ has translations of the quran available as well as other articles

and the best (and easiest to follow) site, in my opinion, to just learn about islam, is http://islaam.com/intro/

email me or post if you got any questions

Thanks for the additional sites jamma, I'm gonna check em out. And Pimp, I haven't lost any weight in what seems like years (2-3 yrs) I've been sitting at a 120. Occasionally I'll go to 118 or 125 but it always goes back to 120. ARRRGHHH! [IMG] I wanna gain weight! lol

Assalamu alakum (Peace be onto you) and Ramadan Mubarak!

Guess what. Over the past weekend when the Rockets were in Miami. One of my friends informed me that Hakeem went to the masjid for Friday Juma prayers. Man I was so upset that I could not be there and see Dream. Not that I would bother him during prayers but it would have been cool to have seen him up close. Oh well, maybe next time. [IMG]

Just curious. How many of you guys are praying Theravee (sp?) prayers.

    Titan's fanatic!!!!

It was the first time the Titans sent an offense to the line of scrimmage with Eddie George in the backfield behind McNair to go with Wycheck at tight end and Carl Pickens, Kevin Dyson and Yancey Thigpen at wide receiver.

So many choices, with a full season still ahead.

"I think that might be scary for a defense," Dyson said.

I want too do taraweeh, but I gotta go to sleep at like 9:30 because I have basketball practice in the morning at 6:45 and school starts at 7:30. So I can't just wake up for Fajr and then go back to sleep and then wake up and go to school.

Cool article about SHareef Abdur-Rahim of the Grizz and his devotion to the Islamic faith. He talks about Olajuwon in there too.
