I have to say he really overestimates his scoring ability tonight.
    A PG shoots 20 times a game? I don't get it

yeah, i wouldn't say he's a pure pg which why i wanted to get upgrade from Rafer. but hell, who cares!? the team could use some scoring and with his lightning speed, why not?

    i agree...

but on the brightside, ive seen more layups out of brooks and lowry in 3 games than i saw from Rafer in 3 years.

Is Tony Parker a PG? He can't be ... he took 32 shots tonight.

He's the only player on the Rockets who can generate his own shot at will. McGrady is gone. In order for them to win, AB has to carry a decent offensive load for this team.

20 shots is a bit much but the most important thing is AB's efficiency, not the number of shots he takes. It would be different if McGrady were gobbling up 20 shots of his own each game.

I'd rather Aaron shoot 20 times than Rafer shoot 14 times.

You really just have to take what the defense gives you. If they move the ball around and it comes back to aaron with the open shot, then he will have to take it. I'm sure his game will improve with time.

He's not perfect, but I think the starting 5 have very good chemistry. Artest/Battier/scolar/yao can cover his weakness in defense, playmakings, ..

it was working against the mavs. even the spurs have to take about 70-80 shots a night, eh? someone had to take them.

and ab ain't no parker. ab's a trigger happy (license provided by adelman) cowboy.

But PGs should never take 20 shots, should they?

    That's not the point.
I am totally fine if AB shoot 20 times while still pass the ball efficiently.
The problem is he cannot run the team and generate shots for others.(Well if you are T. Paker, D. Harris or this teams are without yao and ron, you have to score yourself, but that's not the case here)

Tonight, especially in the 2nd half, he was dribbling around for 10+ sec. without knowing where to go and then either pass back or quickly pull up a 3 ball.

when you're hot, you can and may even need to shoot 50 times. but ab's body temp. was only 98 tonight.

Oh, even if you're the PG? Wow, I never knew that.

AB shot at 40%. While not great, that's not terrible either.

    in your own words -

it's not only the %. it's also how and when you shoot. otherwise yao and scolandry should take all the shots of team.

I think what AB should pay attention to is shooting timing, rather than the numbers of shooting.
In the 4th quarter, 0/4 and in this game some shootings timing are not that appropriate.

I have no problem with a guard shooting that much if he's making a high percentage. AB's drives look a lot better than Rafer's tear drop.

It would be nice if AB looked to pass more and if he can spot Yao when Yao has deep position.
