The fact that Charlie Casserly is paid to talk about football is ridiculous

If I ever saw him in public, I would walk around right behind him booing him until I was physically removed from the premises

Don't think you'd be the only one even though I was hoping for them to draft Bush

Charlie Casserly didn't pass on VY the first time. Anyone who still blames him for that draft is misguided.

They could have traded Carr, drafted Reggie Bush and signed Texas native, Drew Brees. Oh well.

I believe the only player that Casserly had a say in was Owen Daniels. I think Kubiak was leaning towards someone else but Casserly was adamant on them picking Daniels.

I think the point was, McNair refused to give up on Carr and took Young out of the equation. That, or, Casserly was a lame duck and not given influence on the selection.

    Both are pretty much accurate.

Good, the endorsement of Young by Casserly only means one thing...VY is going to suck.

that fact does not always register with the Deciples of V.Y
They will turn around and say, "They could have drafted the ROY and the DROY."

The story on that changes almost daily. Some people 'in the know', say Charlie had nothing to do with the draft. Others 'in the know' say he only dealt with the #1 pick, not the rest of the draft. Even more, 'in the know' say it was his entire draft.

I know that he was GM at the time and to think he had nothing to with it at all seems like wishful thinking.

With that said, I don't care. It is over. Mario is here, Vince is in Tennesee, Reggie is in N.O. All that debating and crying about the pick should be over now.
