After having this April Fool's Day, don't you think guys that it has been a Fool's Year for the Rox. We can't tell if they're a good team or not. As far as their play these past few games is concerned, I don't think they're worthy of playoffs. We can't even determine who's much more compatible to Yao between Cat and SF (both of them are really not a complement to Yao)...

How many games over 500 are we???

OH ok, and we would be what seed if we were in the east??

I feel that this team has held up to what most people thought they would do this season.

I think we are a top 5 NBA team in the making, it will just take time.

I think we are on the bubble and about to become a VERY good team.

OMG Wink, chill! Unfortunately, we just had another loss, but everytime we lose everyone doesn't need to go get all hopeless and act like we suck. I'm very dissapointed we didn't win 50 games because I predicted the Rockets would. I still see the Rockets as a 50-win team this year, but they just gave away a number of games this year they had won, specifically some down the stretch recently. I truly believe we're a top 5 team NOW and as far as I'm concerned, the Rockets are the best in the game when eveything is going right. (I'm not just lying to myself as a hometeam guy but it's a nice part of it:)) Stop feeling so bad, all of those who do, the Rockets will be fine.

By your logic, pretty much everyone is better that their record.

    But I agree with you.

Before the season, if someone had asked which game we're most likely to lose, it would be AWAY against the Lakers. Unless we were on course for an 82-0 season, this loss was expected.

    An upset win.

Doesn't mean we should expect it everytime.

    Dude, NO!

Not just a win, we friggin' killed em! Rockets led by double figures practically the whole game. Second, there's no reason not to expect a win against anyone even if it is the FAKErs. With Yao to neutralize Shaq (even though he didn't on 4/1) we can be confident about a win against them, least I can.

    It's a matter of opinion I guess.

Personally, I think a healthy Rockets team has almost no chance against a healthy Lakers team.

Ofcourse, there will always be upset wins. But if the Rockets beat a healthy Lakers, it's an upset win.

You talk about how Yao neutralizes Shaq. But does Mo/Weatherspoon neutralize Malone? no. Does Mobley neutralize Kobe? no. Hell, Francis barely neutralizes Payton.

Against any other team, we have a good chance. But the Lakers are just too talented.

Remember, this was considered the best ever assembled team before the season, with the glitch being chemistry/ego problems. There are no such problems now.

Again, I'm not sayin we'll never beat the Lakers. I'm just saying that IF we do, it's an upset.

Found another good "date" to relate to the ROX, eh?

Needless thread, but OK... i will say something...

No, they're not fools. We are much better at this point than last season... if it wasn't for JVG, we'd be a WHOLE LOT better... bring back Rudy T!!!!!

I personally think that the Roxs are a team on the rise, I am willing to give them some slack this year.

I personally think that if we make it into the 2nd round of the playoffs, this season would have been a massive success. Strong 1st round showing would still give me tons of hope for next year.

That being said, next year I expect a lot of the mental errors, like last nite's against the Faker's, to be fixed. Or at least brought to a more reasonable level.

This year, still lots of learning and as far as I'm concerned this season has been positive.

honestly; how is it that the utah jazz are an eight seed and they lost their two stars. To me the rockets should be better. We have two all stars and yet are the 7th seed. This kind of shows the 2 all stars dont mix but thats another story. In a sense we are kind of overated. And this is not because of the loss to the lakers.

As I said before, we are one star quality PF or SF away to compete in western conference unless Yao or Steve suddenly become top 5 players in the league. It could happen, but I don't see it happen within next 1-2 year.

    Should have a fun summer.

Man, half a decade without play offs. First year we see major improvement and people keep COMPLAINING and WHINING. If you want a 82-0 season, buy some basketball video games.
