Foolish officials demands Yao Ming to play in 2005 summer

He won't even have to practice to win. It'll be like a vacation, while keeping fit at the same time.

If Yao defects, I would be very disappointed in him. And I say this as a white kid that grew up in Pasadena.

 

This is a good summer for Yao to have a "painful nagging injury" that will unfortunatley prevent him from taking part in the games. But the injury will miraculously heal after the tourney so he can get some more coaching instruction afterwards.

 

The mysterious tendenitis or plantar fasciitis will suit him just fine for a couple of weeks.

 

Why so upset about Yao playing in China next summer? Those chinese games are just like a walk in the park for him anyway. Besides, his GF is in Shanghai. There's no way in hell he's staying here for the summer either. As long as the trainer is with him, he'll be fine.

yeah i agree. Alot of players come here and play pick up ball at Westside. It will keep him in shape. Besides we saw this past summer that Yao has a good worl ethic. Even on his vacation after the Olympics, he was lifting weights and training.

 

why not invite his team to train in Houston????

 

Because CBA has a thing called "season" and it is during summer time?

CBA team Shanghai Sharks expects him to come back this summer to play?

I thought the only committment he had to keep was with the CNT.

He didnt go and play for Shanghai last year, why should he this year?

IIRC, the only games he played last year were as a member of the National Team.

What was the details of his buyout with the CBA Shanghai team? Coulda sworn there was a buyout or something like that to compensate his CBA team for him leaving.

 

let him play in shanghai. he might have a better coach there than jvg. hahha

 

YAO is not going to play for Shanghai Sharks.
He is asked to play for the team that represents the Shanghai City. The game is not a part of CBA. It is a competition between cities just like the Olympic game is between countries.

 

I think it will work out and Yao doesn't need to play. Shanghai
Sports Authority would get a ****load of critism everyday if they
would insist Yao plays for these meaningless games. Too much
for them to handle.

 

Trade Yao asap. Sooner or later, the guy's knee will blow.

I am beging to lose faith in yao as far as becoming a dominat player.I just don't think its in him .I think we built our team around a player that we thought would be dominat and ihe has to be for it to work.now that we have macgrady I think amare would have been a better fit for this team then yao..just my opinion

 

just trade Yao, send him somewhere else. If he can't even man up to say not ot those frigging vultures, then he'll never amount to anything. Wanna know why he cant be agressive? it's cuz of crap like this. I'm sick of it, igve me someone else with a lower ceiling, but whose got an attitude ot make up for it.
