Very reasonably priced. I have a funny feeling prices may be going up soon. Go now, while it's cheap! I've watched this little establishment evolve from the ground up, today I finally got a chance to go visit. I was thoroughly impressed with the food. Everything tasted and looked fresh. The places bills itself as an Asian Diner and they have a bit of everything. Today I had the shrimp spring rolls and the Thanh (teriyaki chicken) Po-Boy. The sandwich was $3.50 and was a foot long, cut in two! The bread was nice and fresh, the chicken was tender, carrots, cucumbers and ankur butter topped the sandwich and it was most delicious. We also had shrimp spring rolls, they were rolled very nice and the peanut sauce was tasty, $3.50. The co-worker I took with me had the Lo Mein, served with rice, it was a beautiful little plate, $5.95. I am definately telling all my friends and I'm going back. Very good deal, nice little restaurant with great big windows and it's strategically located on the curve at 1402 Westheimer. The only downside, is right now, they are staffed probably by the 2 owners, so if it's real busy, you may be in for a short wait.
You may find this funny. Immediately after reading your post, I went to b4-u-eat to see what others had to say.
That's the point I was trying to make......the review was already up there. I love that site as well.
UPDATE: Went back tonight for dinner... found out that this coming up Saturday is the last day of business for Republic Square. Their lease is not getting renewed so they are getting the boot. Get over there this week if you wanna try this restaurant. I am really going to miss this place because the food was good and the prices were low.
